I leave every appointment with new knowledge, a clear plan, and the belief that my doctor genuinely wants to help me.Dr. Simmons and his staff have worked with me since 2013, and I'm a handful. I'm demanding, skeptical, and opinionated, but Dr. Simmons understood my original fears and frustrations, stood his ground, explained things over and over, and listened to what I wanted. He saved my life. Going without restful, regenerative sleep will eventually cause your death by a possibility of ways.HE KNOWS the science of sleep and sleep disorders. He has worked (which for him, includes studying and learning, not just dismininating information) for so many years. HE LISTENS to the experiences of people who are suffering. He continues to teach himself (as well as his patients, staff, and other medical professionals in and outside of the field of neurology) not only the medical 'stuff,' but also the effects on a person's quality of life.

I made the appointment with Dr. Simmons but visited with the nurse practitioner with a guarantee that I would see him right after visiting with her. Olivia was great, but I can't get anyone to respond to my phone calls. I can't get test results. I call get put on hold and i'm on hold so long that I call back explain I've been on hold and it is important and she say's "well we are in transition. Olivia doesn't really have a nurse. OK so it is okay to charge me big bucks to be your patient, but you can't give assistance to your patient when they need you? You do not have a portal. You do not have a nurse or a med assistant to answer questions? Then you should go out of business

Dr Simmons, Said, Ali, and Nursing and Support staff Are caring professionals capable of accurate diagnosis and willing to go the extra mile. I traveled from Oregon to Jarold’s Woodlands clinic in search of an accurate diagnosis re: a referral from another Dr and colleague. The trip was worth every penny. I intend to refer other sleep patients to Dr Simmons to shed light on the sleep aspect of restorative dental cases where airway and jaw stabilization are concomitant treatment goals. Orthopedic TMJ position, airway, and Vertical dimension of Occlusion (bite height between the jaws) are critical factors in overall patient health, comfort, and esthetics, and it takes a physician like Jarold Simmons and his capable staff to have the persistence, knowledge, and social skills needed to excel in this challenging area of medicine. Bravo! Thanks for being patient with me. Doctors make awful persnickety patients. I am unfortunately no exception to this general rule. All my best to you folks!!

My husband has Cushings disease and from our research we found that one of the patients in a case study was cured when she found that she had sleep apnea and it was treated. It can cause a person to excrete too much cortisol. We went to Dr. Simmons and explained to him what we had found and wanted to do a sleep study to see if my husband in fact had sleep apnea. He listened very carefully to what we had discovered and saw the validity of this. Praying the treatment will be the answer!

I know it can be frustrating, upsetting, and overwhelming when trying to discover what's going wrong in your body after years and dozens of doctors! Give Simmons a try. He spent time listening to me and searching for the correct diagnosis. He found what dozens of doctors couldn't. His process may seem too slow, but really it's methodical and effective. His dedication to discovering, treating, and managing my conditions truly saved my life and sanity. His nurse practitioners are also wonderful.

I was very impressed by his knowledge and communication skills. I also saw how he has a team around him to assist in patient care because his practice is busy. I think some of the negative comments placed here are out of context. He is beyond the level.of care of other sleep doctors. He was able to make a diagnosis missed by many other doctors. Clearly a leader in his field. His sleep center uses methods beyond the standard found in other sleep centers.

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Simmons for 17 years now. She was first diagnosed with Narcolepsy, which explained why she could not stay awake. Dr. Simmons gave her medication for this which helped tremendously. He did sleep studies, and now she has Apnea. Her narcolepsy is not really something which can be cured, and now he treats her as if she only has Sleep Apnea, withdrawing her from the meds that allow her to be awake. This is unacceptable, unprofessional. Cannot recommend him now.

I had gone to other physicians wondering why I always felt tired and hated going to sleep. It wasn't until I was referred to Dr. Simmons that I realized I have had problems since I was a kid. He helped me better understand why my condition has been missed for so many years. After I completed my sleep study, I learned that I have an airway problem that causing my breathing to be disturbed at night. This happens so often that I don't get a good night's sleep. Thanks Dr. Simmons!

Arrogant, rude staff. Witnessed them lying to handicapped patients then laughing about it on multiple occasions. Made me wait 3+ hours each appt with a newborn! Yelled at me with personal info in front of other patients. I had a deviated septum and couldn't use mask they ridiculed and humiliated me. He did care. New doc fixed it.
