The best there is!
Dr. Allen is the best there is. I’ve had three of my four babies with her and she made that process so much easier. She is very intelligent and has a warm, kind and caring personality. Her bedside manner is top notch, which is very difficult to find. Since I have now moved from the area I drive 2 hours for any appointment with her but a quality doctor is worth the drive!

If you have complications beware
My daughter spent over 4 months in ICU on a ventilator and a heart lung ECMO after being careflighted from Plano Presby to Baylor due to her catastrophic complications with her 2nd pregnancy. My daughter had a history of serious illness and life threatening complications with her first child. Dr Allen was aware. Despite this knowledge my daughter spent a week in the hospital at 30 weeks in severe unexplained pain. Dr Allen refusing a CT scan which I myself, a nurse, requested. We had to wait until Dr Allen went off rotation for the new Dr to finally order a CT which showed her bowel totally strangled. Baby delivered in 1 minute and my daughter had a dead bowel which has a 50% death rate. She had the dead part cut out and 3 days later vomited blood for 14 hours, was taken to ICU and surgery again to clamp the artery. She aspirated the blood she vomited while in surgery and came out almost dead on a ventilator. Do not use this doctor or Plano Presby. Unbellievable so mistakes made!

Great doctor
The visit with Dr. Allen was very good. Her bedside manner, expertise, encouragement, and hope for solutions to some of my needs was well received. I left with confidence that I'd found my new gynecologist and even recommended her to the women in my family right away.

A Doctor with a Great Bedside Manner
When it comes to having an exam it can be nerve wrecking. Dr. Allen always seems to lighten the mood and make me less nervous. I never feel body shamed when going to her because she knows exactly how to handle her patients. Thank you Dr. Allen!

Still Happy
I've been a patient of Dr. Allen for years. She delivered my baby. We have a special bond. The medical assistants I had the pleasure of meeting were friendly and respectful. The wait time for Dr. Allen is sometimes long (15-20 mins.), but it is expected due to her wonderful reviews. I'm happy to be seen by her and do not feel rushed with my visits. She is professional, friendly, easy to talk with, a good listener, and caring. All the things I want from a doctor examing my woman parts. I've had limited communication with the front desk, but the staff is always friendly with me. A+ all around.

So glad I found her!
The office staff and medical support staff were all friendly and approachable. The wait time until I was face to face with the doctor wasn't bad either. Although my appointment was near the end of the business day, Dr. Allen was patient and took the time to get to know me and answer ALL of my questions and offered explanations and solutions. She's knowledgeable and personable. She'll be my OBGYN for years to come!

Dr. Allen has delivered both of my babies safely. Each pregnancy has its own complication and Dr. Allen was warm and assuring during the stress. She’s incredibly capable and knowledgeable with a great bed side manner.

Love her. Hate the office.
She is fantastic. I wish there was a section to review the staff. Have been going for 12 years. Delivered a baby. 2 cancer issues. A dual surgery with my Colorectal. So I have a lot of detailed history. Saw her 10/21. Said they’d contact later to make appt. Come spring I scheduled for November. Fwd to the week before appt and they call to tell me practice no longer takes my Medicare United plan since JANUARY. And I could be a cash patient. Yeah those labs will be cheap. I was in tears. After 12 years and my history to just never see her again was heart breaking. So now at 45 and my history I need new gyno. Handled horribly. It’s so unfortunate.

Incredible doctor
Dr. Allen is a wonderful doctor. She cares so much about her patients. I never feel rushed in my appointments and never mind if there’s a wait because I know she’s taking the time with each person just like she does for me. She’s very skilled and kept me and my babies healthy and has the absolute best bedside manner. Her compassion has helped me through some hard things and she celebrates with me when things are great. She’s just amazing.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR
DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR'S OFFICE!!!! NO WOMAN DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS!!! I had the worst experience with this doctor's office and Dr. Allen. In February I went in for my first ultrasound, this was my first pregnant. During the ultrasound I knew something wasn't right because the tech kept asking me odd questions. Like have you had cramping or bleeding. I respond no. She just goes quiet and tells me to get dressed and the doctor would talk to us. Of course what does any woman do, I start crying. She just says, do you know what is going on? Of course I don't! Doesn't even tell us anything. I understand, maybe they are limited with what they can say but have some sort of compassion for someone that is about to get horrible news. We found out our baby had no heartbeat. A few days later I was scheduled for a D&C, I was almost 10 weeks. I wasn't even told about other options or what the possible risks could be from a D&C. So I had the procedure done. I was told that I would get

She may be a good Dr., but her method of practice is not appreciated. My 22 year old is on my insurance and went in for an annual pap smear in early October. I have not gotten a statement from her or insurance paid it all, but she ordered blood tests out of this world!! The lab portion of the tests were hundreds of dollars and luckily insurance covered all but about $80, but the pathology services were almost $600 after being adjusted for insurance!!! If you go to her, tell her you don't want the blood tests!

I was very disappointed when I called to set up my first appointment. I am 8 weeks 1 day today. I was told I am TOO FAR ALONG to be a new patient! I was shocked. So new moms.... warning that they will not accept you unless you are 7 weeks or less. I found out at 5 weeks but was told by my GP that many doctors will not even see you until 10 to 12 weeks... so I have been impatiently waiting to get further along to set up my appointment just to get denied for being "too far along."

I love Dr.Allen ! I'm 27 years old pregnant with my second child . Though this pregnancy has really taken a physical toll on me she's made my experience so much better and must I say she has the most gentle hand ever . I've been getting paps since I was 18 and never enjoyed them always had a bad experience to where they were painful to me Dr.Allen was so gentle that I didn't even realize she had already finished the pap best doctor I've ever encountered I just have to hug her every time!!!!!!
