Dr. Sherman did a colonoscopy on me on March 31, 2023 (I was outsourced to his facility from Kaiser Permanente) and when he finished he told me he had left part of a 15mm polyp in my colon because he "couldn't get it all out." He told me to come back in three years. The following week I went to my GI doctor at Kaiser WLA and said I did not like the fact that Sherman did not remove the entire polyp. What he did remove was an adenoma (pre-cancerous) and the biopsy was negative for cancer. My Kaiser GI doc suggested we re-do the colonoscopy in one year. In April 2024, I did just that at Kaiser West LA and my GI doc "got it all out." Guess what? It tested positive for malignancy. I suspect Dr. Sherman wanted to go play golf and so could not be bothered to get it all out. Good thing I didn't wait three years for my next colonoscopy. I think Dr. Sherman is full of himself and at this point incompetent. In addition my appointment in this beautiful facility was at 8:30 but Dr. Sherman was late to get into work and so I did not get taken in until about 10 a.m. I never wait like that at Kaiser Permanente for anything.

Tried to call his office on an endorsement he has provided to Stonehenge health. He endorses dynamic brain supplement which does nothing at all. I heard “that was a long time ago” by his staff.

I love Dr. Sherman. He surpassed my expectations by far! He didn't circumvent any parts of the appointment and was very very prompt, caring, empathetic, and extremely knowledgable. He took time to listen to my situation and he took everything into account and was able to order some tests to help me. I would absolutely recommend him to anybody that was looking for a gastroenterologist.

Dr Sherman is one of those doctors you wish could treat you as an internist for the rest of your life! I went to him for one issue and while other doctors would have just passed the symptoms off easily as IBS, doctor Sherman was so thorough that he was able to determine the real underlying causes to the problems. In addition, he literally saved my life by ordering a mammogram for me. While this was outside the scope of his practice, we found out I had early stage breast cancer!

I really liked Dr. Sherman, plan to continue to use him as my GI (although he doesnt take my insurance so may be $.), and found his staff very helpful. I was able to get an appointment quickly and didnt wait very long. My only complaint was that my visit required follow-up based on results for tests done at my exam, and I had to call and track down answers as opposed to the office taking the initiative to contact me. Once we connected though, he was terrific and helpful as usual.

Dr. Sherman is professional, thoughtful and an all around great doctor. He takes the time to fully explain things and you never feel rushed. I went to him after I was diagnosed with a stomach bacteria. He explained the diagnosis, detailed the course of treatment and checked my current meddling before prescribing a course of treatment.
