Dr Olson and his team removed a large tumor from my brain. I was well informed of the process and expectations. I am eternally grateful for Dr Olson's experience and skill. I would highly recomend Dr. Olson to anyone facing neurosurgery in his field of expertise.

Dr. Jeffrey Olson has a very long track record of Neurosurgery and contributing to related research at Emory University. He came very highly recommended to me. He gave me all of the information I needed about prognosis, chances of success and concerns involved in his decisions for treatment. I felt that I was in the hands of someone who not only cared, but was exceptionally brilliant, even within such a high caliber niche. Like most Neurosurgeons you will talk to, he will visit with you just a couple of times, and the staff will get most information and handle most of your questions. I will say that due to his quick intellect and focus, you need to really pay attention to him when he speaks, take notes and maybe bring a friend to help make sure you ask the questions you need. He will answer, but he is fast and mentally agile, and the conversation will be over quickly if you do not ask your questions. (Probably good advice for anyone dealing with issues leading to Neurosurgery.)

Keep looking for another neuro surgeon. Dr. Jeffrey Olson is very much not a people person, and almost seems agitated by his patients questions. He often talks down to his patients. If you need any referral for transition if care out if town ...don't bother Mr. Olson, even though he has many years experience, he will not be able to offer up any other suggestions outside of Emory.

Dr Olson is a skilled surgeon, so they say, but is very disconnected and uncaring towards the duress his patients are under. If you don't have another viable choice, like I said he is skilled, but if you do have other choices for a neuro surgeon I highly recommend considering other Neuro doctors.

Dr. Olson performed surgery on my husband in Dec 2018 to partially remove a cancerous brain tumor - he did an outstanding job. We are very grateful to both Dr. Olson and his staff for Chris's remarkable recovery.

Dr. Jeffrey Olson is an excellent neurosurgeon. He places a high priority on the patient's most beneficial surgical outcome & will not mislead one to speculate but to wait until all test results & pathological evidence is in before he will provide one with final results. He does an excellent job on minimal scarring from surgery.

He was RUDE, had NO interest in answering any questions, and acted like he was doing us a favor by even speaking to our family or coming to the room!! We had 2 awesome nurses during the 5 days we were there. Otherwise, the whole experience at Emory was HORRIFYING!!!

We were referred to Dr. Olson for a second opinion regarding a craniotomy. Met with him once in person, but he did not have our MRI so we went and had it overnighted to him and he was supposed to follow up with a phone consultation. We have reached out to his office 4 times (they never have a clue what is going on) and have still not been contacted in going on 2 weeks now. Very uneasy feeling with this office and have heard after surgery care is not the best.

Dr Olson did my surgery and I'm blessed to be alive. I saw him several times after the surgery at Emory. If i didnt see him...someone on his team came by to check on me. My dr visits after were good. I was able to ask him all the questions i had and didnt feel rushed or anything. He has a great sense of humor. I'm glad he was my surgeon....i pray i dont need anymore in the future but if so, i hope he will be my surgeon again. Overall I'm pleased with Dr Olson and staff.

Dr Olson saved my life and I would go back anytime for him to "Open Up" my head and do what needs to be done. He isnt the best at social visits or to really comfort during ones tragic moment. He is a brain surgeon, not a therapist and does come off a bit rude but knows his stuff! I wish everyone the very best and stay positive!

My wife was referred to emory for a second opinion by her neurosurgeon prior to having a craniotomy. We like emory and have had good experiences in the past. The office was great; however, Dr Olson was very unprofessional with his staff and downright rude to my wife , adult daughter and myself. He didnt have time to answer any questions and it was apparent. He had better things to do than consult us. What he did say was curt and forced. Do not use this person for any reason.

Spent very little time with me & my family discussing brain surgery. Answered no questions, told us to "enjoy the traffic going back to Macon", & walked out of the exam room.
