Great orthopedic surgeon
Family member had a total hip and knee replacement with excellent results. They were back to normal activities after both surgeries thanks to Dr McLaughlin. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. McClaughlin performed my knee replacement. I am 62 years old and not in the greatest shape with a history of blood clots (genetic). Still, I had no swelling, no bruising, off heavy pain meds a few days post op, and at 6 weeks post op, I am ready to GO. I cannot imagine being happier with a total knee replacement and can't wait until he does my 2nd one. Some folks complain because he's a man of few words; I don't care about that. He will answer any questions you have, he just isn't a talker. I want him to do a great surgery, not go to brunch with me (not that I wouldn't enjoy it). And he did that great surgery for me.

I had both knees replaced by Dr. McLaughlin. Having him do the surgery was the best decision of my life. I was truly incapacitated. I don't even think about them at all now. I would recommend him to anyone with hip and/or knee arthritis. He and his staff are the best!!!

I had my knee replaced in December of 2017. Now six months later I am hiking 6 and 7 miles a day. I can kneel on my knee without discomfort. My knee was bowed before surgery from a deformity and now it is straight. Dr. McLaughlin is an excellent surgeon with a staff that is caring and precise. He has an extremely efficient practice that gets fantastic results. I highly recommend him.

I went to Dr McLaughin several years ago for a torn Meniscus. He was in a hurry and rude. He said there was little he could do. He offered to give an injection. The impression I got was: I'm only interested in big stuff and yours is small stuff. I went to a different surgeon who did an amazing Job shaving my torn meniscus. I went deer hunting a week later. Humility is not his strong suit. DA

My mother had knee replacement surgery by Dr. McLaughlin, years ago. When he completed the surgery he said that if he'd known the condition of the bone he would have used a different prosthesis. She had pain the rest of her life and the knee replacement had driven up into her thigh bone by four inches when she could no longer hobble around enough for self care and went into a nursing home. I would not recommend him for knee replacement after hearing that another had a very painful outcome too

I could not be more pleased with Dr. Mcgloughlin and his staff. I was very comfortable throughout my two day hospital stay to replace my right hip. Since leaving the hospital, I have not had to take any narcotic pain medication at all. I only took two Tylenol twice and even barely needed that. After six weeks I was able to throw away my cane and resume my work full-time. His staff was very caring and answered every question that I had all along the way.

Very well organized from start to finish. Six weeks after hip surgery I'm taking stairs with no pain and walking 3-4 miles per day without pain. Supporting hospital provided great education about recovery and good service will in their care.

Frankly rude, was very eager to quickly finish appointment, didn't listen to answers after asking us a few brief questions, offered no 2nd opinion suggestions for condition... We drove several hours to see him (having heard a good review from someone), after waiting weeks & weeks for an appointment, only for him to say he doesn't do anything for the specific condition- when he had a very very long time to review the records & could've told us that instead of wasting our time. Frustrating.

Always in a hurry. Doesn't take the time to understand the patient condition after surgery. Makes nurse do exam before he sees you.
