Dr. Srinivasan is as good as they get. My back surgery was top notch, and while it took a long recovery (yes, not ever surgery is a quick fix), I always knew my surgery and aftercare was as good as it gets. Dr Srinivasan went above and beyond in my care, including checking upon me at 4am the morning post surgery on her way out of town. Every day I am able to sit without pain, I give her silent salute of gratitude.

Life changing experience
I have been suffering for a year from herniated lumbar disc without realizing it. Lots of misdiagnosis and mistreatment before I met Dr. Srinivasan. During my first appointment with her, my walking had become constrained and there was noticeable loss of strength in my leg (I was practically limping). My symptoms were severe and kept me up during nights. She was quick to assess my state and walk me through my options. She explained the benefits and risks of microdiscectomy to me. She gave me sufficient time to decide and recommended non surgical options as first step, while others had ruled them out. I decided to go through with the procedure. She spent time with me right before the surgery, reassuring me about the good things to come. Surgery went really well. Dr. Srinivasan and her care team helped me navigate all the uncertainties that followed. I’m in a much better state now thanks to her and the care team. A truly life changing experience for me.

Surgery gone wrong
While it was recommended that I have a cervical fusion and that this doctor was the best, something went wrong and I lost use of my dominant arm. After 3 years of Physical Therapy and shoulder injections for pain, I can do most things like feed and dress myself. I have thought long and hard about putting this out there, but did not get any warning that this could happen from a surgery. I like the doctor, but feel that they have insurance just for these types of situations, things happen and I would like to know what. I am in pain every day, and so frustrated that have been told it is permanent from several other doctors.

Dr. Srinivasan has great hands. They have all the trademarks of leading a busy life, and when i saw them i knew she was the one to fix my spine. As her reputation suggests, she was committed to returning me to all the activities I love so much and have. At 49 I'm still able to jump and play. Mobility is the most important aspect of my happy life and Jayashri has brought me back!

I had surgery for a tumor that another doctor said was inoperable, and still another surgeon said the best thing to do was to go in and take a sample and then do a biopsy. I went to dr Srinivasan and she suggested that going in to take a sample and then potentially going in again would just increase the chance of infection. So we went with Dr Srinivasan and I’m still here. That was 15 years ago and I’m still around. But to anybody reading this review, I am so sorry you are having to go through this. But just remember the old saying‘this too shall pass’ hopefully you are not alone going through this. And if you read this review Dr Srinivasan Thank you so much.

It’s a terrible feeling to go to a doctor when you are in pain and while there you feel like you are a nuisance to the doctor. I have seen her 3 times and never once did she examine me. She referred me out 3 times for injections (which have not worked). I honestly feel like she doesn’t care what’s wrong with me. I won’t be back.

I lived with chronic back pain for years. I tried multiple injections, a couple lumbar ablations, and an internal spinal stimulator with no relief. Dr. Srinivasan is a top notch surgeon, as well as every member of her staff. She walked in the room and all I could say was "YOU CHANGED MY LIFE!" I highly recommend her to anyone suffering back pain, she is a miracle worker in my mine :-)

After two consultations with two different surgeons, I finally found my answer with Dr. Srinivasan. I had three levels of herniated discs and bone spurs that were putting pressure on nerves and caused some scarring on my spinal cord. At this point, I knew surgery was the only option to go as I already did the conservative treatments of PT, decompression, etc. for years. She was very professional and empathetic and addressed all my concerns. She assured me that it will go well and I will feel so much better. Six months post surgery, she was correct. All went smoothly. My headaches, tingling on my face and pain down my arm to my fingers are gone. I occasionally get some stiffness in my neck but that is due usually to long hours sitting at the computer for work.

I had severe vertebrae and nerve issues and could hardly walk! I was referred to Dr. Srinivasan and she changed my life! I had a two day surgery and it was a success. I'm walking, standing and pain free from the issues I came in with!! Truly marvelous.

Dr Srinavasan performed an L4-L5 partial discectomy and laminotomy on my spine in April 2020 due to severe foot drop and neurological deficiency in one leg. I had spent most of the previous 12 months in severe pain due to multiple bulging & herniated discs, with severely curtailed physical activity and disrupted sleep. I am 3+ months post-op and have no pain. Neurological symptoms are improving as expected. Dr Srinavasan cleared me for activity so I am continuing physical therapy and beginning strength & cardio workouts. Dr. Srinavasan can be somewhat terse in her communication style and dismissive of other surgeons' opinions. I put that down to confidence in her abilities and a busy schedule. Overall I am very happy with Dr. Srinavasan's care of my spine and would definitely recommend her.

I highly recommend her to anyone who is having spine or back problems. She is an excellent doctor who diagnosed and corrected a very painful disc in my back. My first opinion from another doctor wanted to fuse my spine so I went to Dr Srinivasan and she told me that I didn’t need a fusion. She told me what was wrong and how she would fix it. And that is exactly what she did. Now I am pain free. Very good neurosurgeon.

At my 1 yr post-op visit, the PA listened to my concerns about ongoing neck pain and my need for daily pain meds. Then, Dr S only looked at my X-rays, said there was nothing else that could be done surgically, and said she didn't have time to look at my previous MRI for comparison and walked out of the exam room. She didn't ask if I wanted referrals for any non-surgical care, and didn't seem to care. I would not return to her.

I watched a You Tube video this doctor made about herself and her devotion treatment/care for her patients. I was so impressed by what I watched, I personally seeked her out. I drove several hours to Seattle today 9/16/2019 to get a second opinion on my spine condition which effects my L leg and both feet. I was absolutely SHOCKED at how disrespectful she was to me. When Dr Srinivasan wasn’t laughing at me, or calling me or previous Neuro surgeon liars, she was interrupting me repeatedly. This was while I was trying to explain to her the DV trauma I experienced and prior surgery on my lower back. It was such a horrible experience I started to stutter and literally mixed up my words. This is an absolute contradiction to her You Tube video, which in my opinion should be deleted immediately. I recommend to anybody drawn to this doctor after watching her video to go elsewhere. It is misleading and I left there in tears. I will NEVER return to Seattle Neuro for any reason after today.

Dr. Srinivasan was actually my second opinion, but due to availability I saw her first. She took time going over my MRI, read the radiologists notes, listened to my symptoms. I just felt like I wanted to be in her hands. That she would take care of me. I saw two additional doctors, Dr. Srinivasan for me, was the one.
