Dr welter left multiple broken screws and infected hardware and my leg and told me I was okay that I could start walking that was his last day that he worked for beacon orthopedic. My leg got real infected and they wanted to cut my leg off but they found another great doctor Sorger. To finish the job that Dr welter could not do. I do not recommend anyone to go to see Dr welter

Not a good surgeon
Good surgeons are good strategists. This doctor is neither. He has a rote, one-size-fits-all approach to surgery, which is a major mistake. During hip replacement surgery caused by a steroid shot destroying my hip joint, this “doctor” cut into my quad and damaged it, causing me to fall and break my leg during physical therapy. This brought on another surgery two weeks after hip replacement. I got a bad vibe during both surgical consultations with this guy, in part because he's not a good communicator.

Bad experience
Had broken arm, went to Dr. Welter for emergency surgery the doctor put in screws and a plate in August. Then in He removed the plate and the screws. I was still not able to lift my arm up to even scratch my head. For a second Opinion and this doctor knew exactly what was wrong. Dr. Welter Told me he was done with me asked him if I could go back to work and he said just call and give you a paper. Now now it is May 1 and I still can’t lift my arm now. I have to have a shoulder replacement because I didn’t heal right. And I will be lucky if I can go back to work in a few months. So this condition has gone on for almost a year. Dr. Welter Is not professional at all. So I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.

Tendon repair
I tore my achilles tendon. Had to have surgery to repair it because it was so bad. My doctor recommended a different doctor but my son had had surgery with Dr. Welter and had good luck. I studied reviews on both doctors and chose Dr. Welter. He was very informative, very knowledgeable. I had a pre-op visit. Then saw him in the hospital before surgery. I was trying to tie my gown and he did it for me! Surgery went great. I had minimal pain. Therapy is going great. I really can't say enough good things about this doctor!!

Our son had an accident resulting in a broken ankle. He was referred to Dr. Welter with great things to say about him. He got our son in for surgery within a week or so. Surgery went great! Recovery was great! Dr. Welter is awesome!!!

Great doctor – Aug 02, 2023

Emergency Visit
Emergency medicine doesn’t always work out. My father was given Dr. Welter to look at his hip injury after a fall that resulted in a broken hip. Dr. Welter chose to go the pins rout rather than a hip replacement. We were relieved at the time because the operation was much less invasive. Unfortunately Dr. Welter’s decision did not have the outcome we were hoping for….He was 79 at the time with Osteopenia. My father suffered and lost weight for 6 to 8 weeks before we gave up on this doctor and saw a different doctor. That doctor immediately recommended full hip replacement. We realize that each doctor practices to the best of their ability. Unfortunately this outcome was very disappointing….We have learned to be careful what hospital a family member goes to in an emergency….

Worst medical service provided
When I see my son walk, it is obvious how handicapped he has become because of inaccurate medical attention he received. I would not refer this doctor to even my worst enemy. My son’s quality of life has been severed affected.

lack of empathy
Worse surgery ever had. Woke up with pain never experianced before and will never go away. Woke up screaming after surgery asking for dr. welter, told he was in anouther surgery and i need to calm down im scaring the others in the recovery room, but was in so much pain, plus was paraylized and still am. Dr, welter hid that he cut my sciatic nerve, and would'nt give me any referrels for a neurologist or even a dr for a prosthetic that i have to wear. I have had 3 major surgeries just to help out with the pain. not only did he cut my sciatic nerve and hid it but had some of the hardware removed because was impinging on my sciatic nerve also. i will never be able to live my life to the fullist again at the tender age of 40. I hope no one ever even comes close to the experiance i have. i have had panic attacks that i never had before and was contiplating suicide because the pain was so intense, still live a life of pain after 3 corrective surgeries. if you feel same report to medical board
