I saw Dr. Viereck for a year. At first he seemed thorough, and I gave him grace for being late and not understanding technology as he was new at Castle. However, this did not improve. Visits took over 2 hours, he is consistently an hour late. He does not answer messages in the portal. I was unable to reach him by phone with questions either. He will not release test results (even normal ones) until you see him, even if that is months away. He does not investigate new symptoms unless you beg him and suggest what tests are needed. I had disease progression that did not fit my diagnosis for the entire year I saw him, but all he did was take notes and explain the same terminology repeatedly that I already understand. He MISDIAGNOSED me and cost me a year of my life. I am now disabled and working with a competent doctor to actually treat the disease I have rather than just the symptoms. Would NOT recommend this doctor to my worst enemies.

Worst doctor ever! We needed his help so bad and he let us down hard. He was my wife’s neurologist for over a year. He needs to retire ASAP! We had to move away because my wife’s conditions were worsening and Viereck was not giving us the treatment we deserved. I begged him to order any test that we have not had done yet to try to figure things out, he literally had no ideas, we had to give him ideas for test we have not had yet. He was more of a scribe than a doctor, each visit was him asking the same questions and complaining about the software he had to use. We moved and found an amazing neurologist that had so many ideas for test and we are not getting answers finally. if you have a unique medical condition that’s not easily diagnosed, DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! I had to go to his office and wait for him to put in a prescription order because he failed to do so before my wife ran out of her prescription to help with pain. I had to be so proactive all the time with him because nothing would get done otherwise. At the end I was driving the appointments because of how little he tried or didnt listen to us when we were saying things were getting worse. He has the worst time management skills, on average we would have to wait 45 minutes past our appointment time before he would see us. We are so angry that he did not listen to us and did not try to order any additional test. Our new doctor ordered 6 different test to try to get answers and guess what? We are finally getting test results that are not normal and have some answers finally! You don’t know how hard this is till your going through it but if your reading this, you deserve better than Viereck and get a second or third opinion. Don’t go to that s doctor. If I could give 0 stars I would.
