Lacks empathy. Takes questions personally.
I went to Dr. Swigert with serious concerns about test and his recommendations. He would not listen to my concerns and insisted that it’s “About the Science” and became very defensive with my questions. He said if I didn’t accept his answers , based on the science, I should leave. I tried to share an experience about a time when a doctor insisted my baby be given a drug for a seizure. I told him not to. He got angry, and I told him not to do anything until he spoke to pediatric. He did then came back an APOLOGIZED because based on her other meds she could have died from respiratory arrest.Dr. Swigert would not listen to my concerns or promptings. He insisted that he only goes by the SCIENCE and if I didn’t agree with him I SHOULD LEAVE because he had other patients. Even though I had waited for 45 minutes and he didn’t even give me 15. He said I was rude to him which is absolutely untrue! I WAS SCARED AND WORRIED! He’s all about THE SCIENCE….Lacks empathy.

Dr. Swigert is one of the most outstanding physicians I have ever met. As a first time patient, he listened to my concerns and made knowledgeable recommendations. His communication skills are excellent. I felt like he truly cared about my well being and the time spent together was not rushed at all.

I had been referred to a Neurologist to help determine a diagnosis for my condition, to no avail. After reading an article I noted that Dr. Swigert also treated this condition. Within a week of my visit I was seeing remarkable improvement. The difference was Dr. Swigert actually took time and listened to me. Never seems rushed and his waiting room has a beautiful video of Earths Animals to while away your wait time. I highly recommend you visit with Dr. Swigert.
