Dr. Brien Miller, DO

I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Miller and the staff at Utah Gastroenterology. I've been a patient of Dr. Miller's for the past 4 years and the care he's given is exceptional. He's extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to listen and address all your questions and concerns. He ordered tests to confirm a rare disorder and provided personalized treatment that changed my way of life. Dr. Miller is a very compassionate doctor that displays a high level of professionalism. If you're looking for an excellent doctor who gives excellent care, I highly recommend Dr. Miller.

I have been seeing Dr. Miller for approximately 3 years for follow-up of a condition that requires routine testing and monitoring. Dr. Miller has a very professional albeit empathetic and kind demeanor. He has an excellent education and is a top-notch master of the clinical acumen necessary to treat all conditions and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. In spite of his crazy-busy schedule he always finds the time to answer every question and allay worries and fears.

I had a positive good experience with him as my Dr. And he allowed me to advocate for my health and did a few tests that few other Drs. did. I’m still looking for answers as far as my Health . But it means the world to me to have positive interactions with people who are meant/dedicated to help. If I could say 2 negative things. His schedule wait is extensive but that is understandable. And I had 2 interactions that were less than ideal with staff they made it seem as if I was supposed know more than them as the patient when they work there everyday like how am I supposed to know or care more about the business that you help run? More than you do? Maybe they were just having an off/ bad day?Love the Dr! Also if I want to schedule again the wait could be potentially extensive I don’t know though yet.

Very good informative visit. Dr. Miller listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and thoughtfully prescribed a course of treatment.

My experience with Dr. Miller and his nursing staff was fantastic

Dr. Miller was extremely patient and kind with my 91 year old mother and her throat scope! Everyone was super kind and she was done so quickly, she kept asking if she was done!

Dr. Miller is a very knowledgeable and experienced physician. He understands the needs of the patient, discusses options and doesn’t force anything on you. He is very professional and I would highly recommend him to others.

I’m a 76 yr. Old woman I met Dr. Brien Miller for the first time in the Operating Room, for the lack of a better term. He was personable, explained the procedure and answered a few questions. There is not very much to say about him in our brief meeting except that I would definitely go to him again. His nurse Jody is a sweetheart. Cole who was my nurse at the hospital was absolutely great. He made me totally at ease and was very knowledgeable. Loved his job. He had certain information he had to get from me but worked it into the conversation instead of grilling me. All in all it was as good as those procedures could be. Really nice and caring professionals!! All went well.

Dr Miller was very attentive, took copious notes, asked if I had any further questions (several times) and explained the planned course of action in an unhurried manner. Was quite happy with the consult and would recommend Dr Miller.

Dr Miller performed my husband’s colonoscopy a few years back and was very good. I was due for another colonoscopy and had moved to southern Utah so scheduled an appointment with him since my husband’s experience was favorable. He was great but I had an issue with my billing. Since there are three separate bills—the physician, the surgical center, and the anesthesiologist—that get submitted to insurance, I found that two of them were submitted with correct coding and paid but the endoscopy center coded incorrectly so insurance didn’t pay. After spending an hour on the phone tracking down who to talk to and get the issue resolved, my insurance is sending the claim back to the endo center to re-code so they can pay it. Unfortunately I was told that for some reason the billing person at the endo center was refusing to add the correct code. I hope this gets corrected because I’m not paying for their mistake.

All went extremely well and Dr Miller was professional and personable. All staff members were great

I had a colonoscopy with Dr B. Miller. No one wants to go through the presentation but it is necessary. I was impressed with the efficient way that everything was handled. All questions were answered during the preparation and procedure phases. All the staff were kind and good at their jobs. Every detail was explained. Dr Miller made sure to answer all my questions. I met Dr Miller prior to a colonoscopy. He listened while I explained my complex history of IBS-D. He was super nice and recommended a change to one of my medications right away. Then he sent the new prescription to my pharmacy the same day. He is friendly, kind and professional. During my procedure, because of my IBS history, Dr Miller to multiple biopsies and told my wife he is really hoping that that they will help figure out what is causing the problems I am having. He also gave my wife copies of the intra operative photos. Finally, he gave me some samples of a very expensive medication I am on. So, in summary he wasn’t only nice but he showed he cared through his actions! As a retired podiatrist/foot & ankle surgeon I can tell you this is extremely rare. I give Dr Miller the highest recommendation!

Excellent Doctor, highly recommend Dr Brien Miller, his NP, technicians and all his staff. Thank-you for making me feel safe before, during and after my procedure.

Dr. Miller is EXCEPTIONALLY AMAZING! Unfortunately this was my only visit with him. I would 100% recommend him as a gastroenterologist! He listens, and offers his knowledge in a caring way. I wish he was going to be my permanent dr, however we moved from the area. Keep being amazing Dr. Miller!

Dr. Miller listened well and responded to all of my questions/concerns thoroughly and clearly. I felt really comfortable with him.

Everyone at the facility was so nice and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Miller was so nice along with his nurses. They explained everything to me and I had no concerns or worries.

Dr Miller did a great job, although to be fair I slept through most of it. :-) Seriously though, Dr Miller was friendly, courteous, and informative. His skill and confidence was very reassuring. Highly recommended.
