Dr. Gutman could have, at the very least, pretended like he cared about his new patient. I drove 2 hours to get there before I had to work and two hours home. He barely looked at me in my face, was all jittery/seemed uncomfortable by me, and refuted the majority of my very concerning symptoms. I didn't feel like he was listening to me whatsoever, obviously because he wasn't. I made a tentative list of my ongoing issues, and was really hoping to talk to a specialist about them. I was rushed in and out by him. It was SO obvious that he didn't care about me. He didn't even give me any medical advice on what could be going on with me. The nurse that checked me in was training a woman, and simply assumed that I was not "depressed" (by my appearance i'm assuming) while putting me in the system. She said this outloud. She didn't even look at my new patient paperwork, which suggested otherwise. Very disappointed. Will not be back.

Dr Gutman has been my doctor for several years. He listens and discusses matters with you. He goes out of his way to ensure his patients get the best care. Sometime he even returns my calls personally; you don't find many doctors that do that anymore!

Dr. Gutman is a wonderful doctor! He spent an hour going over test results and explaining everything very patiently. He was knowledgeable and very engaging. We feel so lucky to have found him.

Dr. Gutman is impatient, rude and condescending. He had no interest in listening to my concerns. He didn't read my chart prior to my appointment. (I had sent all my records) He had his own agenda as far as which questions he wanted to answer. He was pushy in ordering further testing without explaining why the tests would be needed. He implied that my condition was "all in my head". He has poor bed side manner. My insurance paid $140 for an office visit. I don't believe he earned a penny of it.

We recently relocated to NY from FL and were searching for a new gastroenterologist. I made an appointment (a few weeks out) for my husband while we were still in temporary housing. The day of his appointment he arrived to be told that they had cancelled his appointment and sent us a letter by mail--to our hotel--which we never received. They never called. They offered no apology or quick reschedule.
