Dr. Akerman takes time to listen and has empathy. I had unfortunate side effects from anesthesia and from a procedure, no fault of his, and he ordered the strong pain medications I needed to minimize my suffering and was thorough with follow up. Sometimes you only find out how good a doctor is when there's a problem which usually involves more than just technique, kindness helps a lot too.

My review details my experience with Dr. Jason Ackerman, a new physician at Manchester Urology Associates, during two surgical procedures on April 11 and April 22, 2024.I was faced with an 8 mm kidney stone that had blocked the left ureter, and I was unable to take certain medications due to allergies, so I sought medical attention. Dr. Ackerman presented two options for treatment, and I chose to stay overnight for a stent placement procedure the next day. The surgery was successful, and I was discharged with instructions for further procedures. Dr. Ackerman personally contacted me post-surgery, demonstrating an exceptional level of care and attention. During the second surgical procedure a week later, Dr. Ackerman addressed my concerns about blood-thinning medications and provided comprehensive post-operative care, including consistent follow-up calls to check on my condition.
