I would not recommend Dr. Verner for hip replacement surgery. He was abrupt, rude, and had no bedside manner. I am overweight, and instead of explaining the process forward he belittled me, and my primary care physician. I have NO underlying health conditions (diabetes, high LDL, HDL, blood pressure). He assumed I did, and said I was at high risk for COVID. He did not ask me questions except about my weight. The whole visit was over in about 10 mins, and he left me in tears. He confirmed right/left hip surgery was needed, belittled me and that was it. For this, I owed for the visit. Please think twice if you are considering care from this doctor.

Dr. Verner is one gifted surgeon! replaced both hips; one in 2018, other May 2019. He did great work! Was on stationary bike with light pedaling 3 weeks after each replacement. He's also very caring and compassionate, along with his staff. I found the key to quick recovery/mobility was to do the stretching exercises religiously, right away. After stretching each and every day, the discomfort became less & less immediately. The stretching isn't easy at first but it is required to quickly get back all mobility.

Dr. Verner is a very caring person and an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He replaced both of mu husband's knees ten years ago. My husband had Parkinson's and Dr. Verner took very good care of him. The doctor replaced my left knee three months ago and my right knee last week. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Verner He is a doctor's doctor! I am fortunate to have him as my surgeon.

Dr. Verner answered all my questions. My knee replacement surgery went very well and was followed by therapy with the X-10 machine. My outpatient PT was surprised at how well I was doing 2 weeks after surgery. My scar healed very well with no special care. He uses a waterproof bandaid that allowed me to shower. My experirnce was very positive. I would highly recommend Dr. Verner.
