Rude and does not listen well
Serious pain after vasectomy. Did nerve ablation. Failed to do other tests requested. Wrote that I had herpes in my chart though he had not seen me. Turned out to be pimple on tip from abrasion.

This Doctor came highly reccommended. He is chronically late and then gives you about 5 minutes of his time, while he is typing. He operated on my husband 2 months ago and the incision looks like I made it. Dr. Smolev seems not to be interested in my husband's progress and doesn't make eye contact with him and is a very poor communicator. We are seeking another opinion to see if the surgery was successful. We feel Dr. Smolev has made a stressful situation even more difficult and painful.

Dr. Smolev was the first urologist that talked with me as a person, concerning Peyronie's Disease. He spent a lot of time explaining in detail what the issues were and was very comfortable with discussing personal problems from Peryonie's Disease. He told me exactly what to expect and made me feel comfortable with what he could do. He was compassionate, a great listener, comforting and sympathetic. He is a very caring physician.
