The best orthopedic doc in my opinion.
Dr. James Burnett is an excellent physician. He and his staff are professional and caring. He has treated me for more years and more issues than I'd like to admit. He's treated 2 fractured ankles, a torn rotator cuff, and a bunionectomy. Due to the fact, I relocated I've tried 2 other orthopedic doctors for 2 different needs and they both fell way short of Dr. Burnett's skills. He has a straight forward approach and thoroughly explains your options. If you follow his plan, you'll be on your way to recovery in no time. He's the best in my opinion.

I went to See Dr Burnett for shoulder surgery. Even though he has the worst bedside manner, I decided to have my surg by him. The rehab was miserable, but I continued thinking that it would get better. After several years of ongoing pain, I returned to see him. I could not sched with him because he was no longer doing shoulders. I saw one of his colleagues who told me the shoulder ball was too large, and I would need another surg to repair. I declined, and I am still suffering with pain. Steer clear of this physician.

I absolutely love Dr. Burnett!!! I started having shoulder pain, a little over a year ago. Like most people, I'm afraid of what doctors may have to do to me!!! He gave me a few options, I settled for the shot. I was terrified! He numbed it up, told me big stick, so I'm waiting and waiting, he was done!!! I did not feel a thing, magical hands! I didn't tell him, just in case that was a fluke! A year later I go in for another shot (yes it lasted ME a year) the same thing. He does it again, I still didn't tell him, didn't want to mess up what we have going! Now the cat is out of the bag!! In my head he's Dr. Magic Hands! Also he has great bedside manners!!

Dr. Burnett has treated me for several years. He performed a successful left shoulder rotator cuff repair in 2014. Over the years Dr. Burnett has given me steroid injections in both shoulders which reduces my arthritis pain. In addition, he alternates steroid and ortho visc/uflexa injections in both knees in order to stave off knee replacement surgery. My knees are bone on bone. Recently Dr. Burnett referred me to another Orthopedist for a Reverse Total Right Shoulder Replacement procedure because he does not perform this specialized surgery. I am currently recovering from this successful surgery. Dr. Burnett will answer your questions factually and directly. His bedside manner is friendly yet efficient. His medical assistant Melanie and nurse Loren are excellent. They are efficient and personable. The front office staff is cordial and efficient.

I hav had the pleasure of having Dr. Burnett for years now. He has done a few orthoscopic knee surgeries, a couple of knee replacements, (because I broke the first one), some shoulder and elbow shots, with that being said Dr. Burnett and this staff has always treated me and my family with the best care I have ever had from any doctor I have ever visited! Dr. Burnett has the greatest bedside manner, he talks to you like a person, makes you feel welcome, listens to your concerns, and talks you through what he is doing!!

Hip surgery badly botched. Multiple infections ensued. Had to have another surgery by a different doctor to correct. 10 more days on the hospital, several blood transfusions, 2 months about home administrator antibiotics every 4 hours around the clock. And after all that, his attitude was still quite arrogant.

Primum Noce Nocerum Dr. Burnett! It is Latin and it is from The Hippocratic Oath and it means, "first do no harm". I know this because I too am a doctor, and let me tell you about my experience with Dr. Burnett, as a patient and a doctor. I had an appointment for 3 PM today. I saw that I would be a few minutes late so I had my office manager call his office to notify them. I arrived at 3:07 PM and was directed to the proper sign in desk where I singed in at exactly 3:11 PM (you have to mark

I have enjoyed every experience at Arlington Orthopedics except for this one. I went to Dr. Burnett on a referral from another doctor at AOA and was extremely disappointed. His poor bedside manner was one thing but his complete lack of direction was something much more frustrating. I went to the Dr for a surgical game plan and instead I left with 4 options that were “up to me”. While I appreciate options, I would like them to be paired with recommendations. I would not recommend!

I have arthritic knees, therefore, I've recvd steroid injections fr Dr. Burnette for several years. Two other doctors were the first to administer these shots when I first began this painful procedure. However, Dr. B's nurse explained to me on my first appt w/him that he was very good at performing this procedure. I found her stmt to be extremely true, and will only go to Dr. Burnette for this. He also listens well and answers any concerns regarding my condition. A Great doctor! D. Bailey
