Dr. Jagan Akella, MD

Dr Akella said I need to see a cardiac surgeon. I have waited 3 weeks for his office to send the referral to the surgeon. I have called almost daily and his office still has not sent the referral to the surgeon. They don't answer the phone, don't return calls, and don't send the referral to the surgeon. Absolutely the worst medical office ever.

Always rescheduling appointments. I hear the doctor talking badly about other patients outside the office. He’s very rude to his staff. No wonder the turnover rate is high. My appointment was rushed. Won’t be going back.

I was not impressed with Dr. Akella! I went in for a baseline which included several test over the course of three weeks. Dr. Akella's clerical staff was very friendly and the nurses handled all of the patient load. When I returned for my follow up appointment to review my tests, a nurse (who was very friendly) went over my results, not Dr. Akella! She was vague and no help with question about my results. She then went to get Dr. Akella, who couldn't even be bothered to come in to the room to discuss my results. He hung in the doorway speaking loudly (for everyone to hear) seeming very uninterested and not concerned about my anxiety level. He never explained some anomalies that my tests revealed, but rather, said and I quote "I'm not worried about it". If this is the way he handles concerns for patients who present with simple heart related issues, I most assuredly wouldn't want him to be my Cardiologist for anything more serious!

I have been a patient for 9 years. I believe that people complain about drs when they don't hear what they like. Every patient that walks in the door is greeted by there name. Each patient is the most important to Dr. Akella and his staff. If dr Akella said he got tested then he did as all of my other dr's and specialist are also doing. Its ok to complain about a staff not wearing a mask but why not complain when you go shopping and half the people are not and you have your nose uncovered possible like alot of others do? I have had a holter monitor and stress tests and multiple procedures as dr. Akella is a Dr that is trained to do the implant of a pace maker or a aicd. Many are not. I have never left the office without a follow-up appointment. Just because you do not get your test resaults flown into your living room the next day does not mean the dr is incompetent. I am a patient who has never felt neglected by Dr Akella after any procedure or visit. Good luck finding a better Dr.

3 months ago I went to dr. Akella, and had some tests done, the last one was a halter monitor, I called every week for the results, finally they have the results but no upcoming appointments, during all of the previous calls no one said I needed an appointment to talk about the results, During the previous calls no one said anything about a new appointment. If they had, I would have gotten an earlier appointment. In addition Dr. Akella was not wearing a mask, he said he had been tested, I seriously doubt he gets tested everyday, also a women who works there was at the front desk, without a mask, Clerical person I think, I told the nurse, she she could not say anything but would tell the doc. Also, I had the halter monitor put on on a friday afternoon, 12 hours later it fell off. A new one was put on. When the time came to remove it It was very very hard to take it off, (that's how it should be) Needless to say, I will now be going to find a new cardiologist.

I like the staff too. I like Dr Akella and his honesty. The care i get is excellent.

Dr. Akella is an extremely knowledgeable cardiologist. I felt very comfortable with his manner. He spends time with you explaining your heart health issues.

For two years I have been suffering with shortness of breath..Extreme fatigue and not being able to accomplish even small daily tasks. I have seen 3!! Cardiologist over the past two years and not one of them could figure out what the issues were causing my symptoms. Prior to this..I worked 40-55 hours a week..on top of that trained horse and was active non-stop. I was starting to get depressed..giving up all hope..beginning to wonder if I was simply going crazy..Then I found Dr. Akella..my 4th cardiologist in 2 years. My first visit..he was Compassionate..listened to my story..and gave me Hope again. Two tests were scheduled right away and follow up scheduled just a couple days after. My Second appointment..Dr Akella knew Exactly what the issue is AND a plan to fix it!! I was so overjoyed that I actually got all teary eyed during the appointment. Every single person at this clinic gas been Empathetic..kind..and super efficient.

Dr Akella has seen me through 9 years of afib and has always been compassionate and available when needed. I have found his staff helpful and reactive. If you need a heart guy.... you can NOT do better.

Again for second year in a row this office so screwed up. Last year rescheduled my echo 3 times. This year show up for scheduled appt at 8:30AM . Internet down, doctor not coming in until 10:30, no one to do echo. No record of my appointment yet I rec'd 2 phone messages asking me to confirm....which I did. Time to change doctors enough of the round around at this place.

Find someone else. He is interested only in performing costly procedures, not patient care. He performed an unnecessary angioplasty on me, then insisted on implanting a defibulator with no follow up care. I have had nothing but problems since, and he will not see me.

Very nice man but his staff is totally incompetent and unprofessional. He does not explain treatments plans and seems rushed to get to the next patient.

Amazing Doctor! Dr. Akella truly cares for his patients! He is trustworthy and takes great care of my family member!

I really like Dr. Akella - but I have now been on hold with his office for 17 minutes trying to reschedule an appointment that the office cancelled due to not getting advance authorization for a procedure.

Excellent, made me feel very comfortable within minutes also very efficient.
