Dr. Itzhak Haimovic, MD

In this office the bug lady her name is Venessa she is unprofessional and no manners at all. She don’t know how to talk the patient. She screams and yelling on phone. She is nurse practitioner name VENESSA . I don’t know who keep this kind of nurse , she already mently distrub. She harassing me for some day .

Patients regularly wait up to several hours in the waiting room before each visit, no matter what day of the week or time of day you book an appointment. If you question Dr. H. about what can be done about this he suggests you find another doctor. Unbelievable. I don't care how 'great' he is, patients deserve some respect.

Dr Haimovic exceeds his true level of expertise.

extremely long wait to be seen while in office can be 2-3 hours delay, ordered unneeded blood test, and other tests. Beware that your insurance may not cover the costs and office does not tell you this I was out $335. for blood work not covered, office was no help in getting it as Medically needed did nothing although all the needed was to call quest and resubmit as medically needed awful!

I have been seeing Dr Haimovic for years !Yes you will wait to see him but once you’re in his office you will have his complete attention and will be given the best care possible. Call ahead of time and see how far behind he is before heading to the office. He’s the best !

I had a 4pm appointment and sat in the waiting room for over 3 hours. Once in the exam room it was another hour and a half wait. When I finally left there after 9pm there were still a lot of people in the waiting room. I had asked about a early morning appointment but was told the wait is just as long there. Decided not to go back a d found another Northwell doctor to see. Was in and out of that office in a little over a hour. He is a good doctor and was very complete with his exam and test requests but I do not have all day or night to spend there with working, dialysis, and taking care of my elderly mother.

Gave him the benefit of the doubt after I waited 2+ hours the first time. My second visit I waited even longer. You'll probably die of whatever it is your going to see him for and/or old age sitting in his office. Bring a sleeping bag, toiletries and a change of clothes if your going to book a visit.

I had a 5 O’clock appointment and got there at 4:45 to fill out paperwork. I sat for one hour before being taken into the exam room. Nurse came in did her usual then I sat there from 6:15 until I decided to leave at 7 o’clock. I walked out into the hall and the dr was in his office door closed on the phone. Other patients were waiting and I was there for 2 hours waiting. I went to the desk and told them I was leaving that my mother in laws aide had to leave to go home and that my time of 2 hours was just as important as his. I said I will find another doctor. Not even a sorry for what happened or even a phone call after to apologize. Call me if he is running late but don’t have me sit there for 2 hours and still not be seen. I didn’t realize I had an appointment with God. If you are willing to wait then go ahead and see him but not me. Never again

It is shameful that there are doctors who still book unrealistic schedules and let their patients sit in a waiting room for hours on end.

Ridiculous wait times! Waited 4 hours and left without test results.

I have been seeing Doctor Haimovic for about seven years and can tell you without a doubt that his level of dedication to best practice is unparalleled by any other person in his field. He is kind and wise. His PA that works with him is young and bright as well! They make for an incredible treatment team that I wouldn't trade for anything or anyone.

Long wait time I waited 6 -7 hours before I see him I had 2:30 pm appt time taken in by nurse at 7:15 pm and seen by dr at 8:15 pm + very very long hours and in unbearable pain I was in Dr is good. But always long waiting. Staff not organized

Excellent!!!! There are not enough words to explain the expertise of this Dr.. for those complaining about waiting 1.. I see your comments were posted when Covid first hit... 2.. he has a text message service where they text you 15 minutes prior to your appointment... 3.. being properly diagnosed by a Dr top in his field especially where the spine is concerned priceless... I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and proud to say my visits were 10 years apart.. he treats the problem instead of masking the pain and mri and all other testing is done on site.. would highly recommend!!!

I arrived to my first appointment, filled out paperwork, and then was told that the wait was 3 hours. I said "who am I seeing, Elvis?". I told them I wasn't doing that, and if they had any "on time" doctors available. I came back the next day, saw a perfectly acceptable doctor, and only waited 10 minutes.

wrong test results, 2 hour waits, rude staff.... factory and a complete disaster. Most condescending MD I have ever seen

At this point I have been waiting 2.5 hours w my 92 year old father. I would leave but taking time from work and getting my father to appts is so difficult. In addition, there was a 7 “ snowstorm six days ago. The sidewalk and walkway outside has not been cleared. Obviously, dr heimovic is not in this business out of concern for his patients. Disgraceful!

Dr Haimovic is great! He gets 5 STARS! The practice however is another story, the staff is very condescending, disrespectful and just plain rude. The wait time in the actual office it's ridiculous and it's almost impossible to get them on the phone prior to that even to make the appoint. Money hungry like there is no tomorrow or a pandemic for that matter which has presented some financial challenges for some people. I honestly wish we did not have to go back there and deal with their unpleasantness and inconsideration ever again!!!

I would give Dr. Haimovic my highest recommendation. He is intelligent, experienced, kind and compassionate. You will get an appointment if you need one, even late at night, and get straight answers. He will ALWAYS return your calls, and if you need a test, you can get it right in the office, as well as get your results right away , so you don’t have to anxiously wait. In a climate where excellent medical care is so rare, Dr. Haimovic is a gem.

Good doctor but Can never get through to the office. Literally wait times on phone of 45 minutes and office just seems stressed and overwhelmed. Wait times in office long too.
