When I was 15 I started going to him with pelvic pain. He kept brushing me off, giving me ibuprofen and told me it was just basic PMS and that I was dramatic, did not need pain medication or a deeper look. At 17 I was in so much pain I could hardly walk during flare ups. I demanded a laparoscopy and he agreed, thinking it was simply a small cyst. Turns out I had heavy stages of endometriosis, which he did nothing about and didn’t even tell me what stage I was in. That next year I moved states and saw an endometriosis specialist who told me I had stage 3 endometriosis and I would have difficulty getting pregnant. I moved back to RI and had a procedure done to clear my tubes, which were coated in endometriosis, in order to get pregnant with my daughter. Advocate for yourself because he will continue to shrug you off if not!!

I recently had pelvic prolapse surgery. Dr. Kong treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. He is so kind and gentle. I am forever grateful.

At 64, I recently had the first surgery of my life. Needless to say, I was worried. Dr. Kong is competent, thorough, compassionate, gentle, and humble. All of my fears melted away once I met my him. I knew I was in good hands….and I was !

I went to Dr. Kong because I had a large Fibroid that I knew would need attention. I was very happy on the first visit because he listened and I didn't feel rushed. He also was very thorough, making sure he understood completely what my issues were. Although I knew I would need surgery, i was very impressed that he didn't rush to recommend it. Eventually, the surgery was needed and he did a wonderful job. I felt completely safe with him doing the surgery. He is very compassionate and thorough.

Dr. Kong is a blessing to this community. He is extremely humble, but also extremely competent. I am in the process of moving outside the area and one of my main issues is trying to replace him! He is truly gentle, caring of the patient as an individual and treats you like family. One in a million!
