Dr. Indraneel Chakrabarty, MD

Pathetic excuse for a doctor, had an emergency ct scan and he never called me back with results. Suffered for weeks with chronic pancreatitis. Save yourself and find another doctor.

This is not a review of Dr Chakrabarty. I‘ve heard great things about him. In 2/14/22 I went for a required consult before scheduling a colonoscopy. Even though I arrived before my appointment time I waited for a hour before being called back. Height, weight, and a few questions later and I was told to wait for the nurse. I was told then that the wait was due to a really busy schedule. Another 45 minutes later the nurse came in. I had now been waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes and I was finally getting the 10 minute appointment that I came for. When I mentioned the wait the nurse took it personally and told me that she had been told that I was late (incorrect) and that she was a nursing mom and needed to pump. Instead of simply apologizing she made personal excuses.

Dr. Chakrabarty is an amazing doctor. I trust him more then any other doctor I've ever had. He goes above and beyond to help you and so does his staff. He listens to your input and has such good bedside manner. I'm so grateful for this doctor. I would follow him everywhere. My whole family goes to Dr. Chakrabarty.

I saw Dr I Chakrabarty over a period of about 18 months. In that time, I was hospitalized multiple times & had multiple procedures done. I continued to worsen. I was severely anemic, underweight, on a feeding tube & had pneumonia from the last EGD he did, when I vomited into my lungs. When I called to schedule a follow up, his staff told me he could no longer see me. I was told no reason, except I owed over $200 on a bill. My insurance had paid thousands upon 1000’s already. They wouldn’t let me make an appt. I called everyone & finally got into Cedars-Sinai. On my first appt there, they hospitalized me for the next 40 days, figured out the problem and performed major surgery. I was septic and dying and Dr Chakrabarty refused to see me, apparently over a bill of a few hundred dollars. I think he was just out of his league & incapable of admitting it. Either way, if you have more than heartburn, go elsewhere.

I see PA Michelle Porter. She is AMAZING and BRILLIANT! She listens to me and provides excellent care. I feel very safe and comfortable with her in charge of my care. The whole staff at Dr. Chakrabarty's office are the BEST from the moment you walk in the door you feel significant and important to them. your grateful patient Jennifer Nason

Dr. Chakrabarty as well as his staff are Amazing! He explained everything to me before I had my endoscopy done. Very caring! I highly recommend him

Dr. Chakrabarty saves lives, he truly is the best gastroenterologist in the I.E. His methodical approach to making a diagnosis remains without flaw. I would refer anyone who needs a doctor to him for any of their gastric/endo needs.

I especially want to say how much appreciation I have that Dr. Neel stays in this small town when his skill could take him anywhere!

Not happy with a doctor that does not fully evaluate tests and then makes random statements when a diagnosis is necessary. Not sure I would let him perform surgery without thoroughness. Needs to improve bedside manner, too, especially with women.

Wonderful and caring Doctor and staff. The wait is a bit long but that's because he takes the time to explain everything so you would understand it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Neel’s for years. He is understanding, and honestly tries to help all his patients. One word to describe Dr. Neel is “patient.”

I love this Doctor! He had to perform an ERCP on me to fix another surgeons mess up. He is friendly, humble, personable, informative when I asked questions & very professional. I didn't feel rushed with him. All the staff that I came in contact with were very nice & friendly both on the phone & in the office. Dr should be proud of his staff and give them a raise. He performed another procedure on me at a later time & everything was just as it was before. The PA's are also wonderful!

Horrible customer service, trying to make or change appointments is a marathon of phone calls and waiting on hold. Not enough staff to handle patient calls. The endoscopy facility in Hemet was third world dirty and disorganized. Had to wait for over an hour for my endoscopy in a tiny, dirty waiting room with 20 other patients and 5 chairs. The pre-op area was dirty and offered no privacy, they knocked me out before going in to the endoscopy room so no telling how dirty the OR was.

Assembly line endoscopy. The office reminded me of a veterinarian office. Nothing like my first endoscopy They had us backed up and the nurse was very unprofessional. I never have a hard time getting an iv but she had to try 3 times. Finally gave up and another guy dressed in jeans not scrubs finally found my vein. Took weeks to get in with doctor after the procedure. My guess is he makes his money on the endoscopies that he runs through there like cattle.

I have not seen the doctor yet, but I plan to make an appointment once my insurance plan will cover it. I met a former patient who had very successful surgery for problems with gastroesophageal reflux and now no longer suffers from any problems. I also checked out his website and accomplishments so I think he would be great and I could overlook some problems mentioned.

This doctor is the only one who ordered the lab work that many others told my daughter she did not need. It turned out to be a vital part in her recovery. I am also a patient there. He is smart, friendly and makes you feel like you can talk to him. The office is one of the cleanest offices I have ever been to. They are professional, friendly and very efficient.

This doctor is ignorant and arrogant. He rather have statues outside of his building to show off in Hemet god knows to who but his area for patients that are waiting for procedures are squeezed in a back room 10x10 smells horrible and treated like cattle's instead of human beings. His nurse said have you received instructions after your procedure I said no and she said yeah you did, which I did not. She said lets get your IV started, I was poked five time and nothing was accomplished........
