Dr. Chen is knowledgeable and insightful. He takes his time and listens to everything that is concerning you. He looks outside the box and informs you with pros and cons of different types of treatment so you can make a knowledgeable decision.
Pati is an asset in this office. She is very friendly and kind and goes out of her way to help you in any way she can with your appointment, or any questions you may have.

After dealing with countless doctors that brushed off my symptoms, I was was referred to Dr. Chen. I felt like he was the first doctor to actually take my symptoms seriously. He is extremely knowledgeable, up front, and thoroughly answers questions. What I love about Dr. Chen is that he really listens before diagnosing, and explains his entire thought process. If it weren’t for him I would still be bed ridden. I would recommend seeing him.

I found Dr. Chen to be very professional, friendly and competent. He explained what he was going to do, why he was recommending it and what I could expect to and what I had to do to prepare.. After the procedure was over, he gave a short version of the findings (I was a little grogy from the anesthesia). He also provided a written report of the findings.. His office scheduled a follow up office visit to go over the entire findings, including the lab results. He asked if I had any concerns.

Before seeing Dr. Chen, I had been seeing various doctors for weeks, none of which gave me any answers, and almost all of them quickly disregarded the pain I had. Dr. Chen took his time to hear my symptoms, do a thorough exam, and order a variety of tests and procedures to make SURE I could get some answers. I was finally moving forward with finding out where my pain was coming from! He is very patient, his irvine office is beautiful and clean, and his staff is amazing, friendly and so helpful!

My colonoscopy went smoothly. Because I chose not to have sedation, I was able to watch the screen throughout the procedure, as Dr. Chen explained his findings thoroughly. Dr. Chen had given me a good understanding of what to expect during the procedure, and my experience matched his description. I know right where I’ll have my next colonoscopy!

From consultation through procedure and post-procedural follow-up, my experience with Dr. Chen and his staff was excellent. Dr. Chen’s knowledge, experience, clinical methodologies, personal demeanor and willingness to proactively walk me through all aspects of my procedure were extremely helpful and greatly appreciated. There were no surprises before or after my procedure, and there was no post-procedural discomfort. After the procedure, Dr. Chen made time to personally visit me in the recovery
