Caring; Considerate; Compassionate;Congenial Dr.
Dr. Abrams always listens to me very carefully and makes lots of eye contact instead of staring at his computer. He has been spot on with my medications and always makes me feel comfortable asking any questions including about dealing with grief and cancer. His appearance and demeanor are very professional and I feel like I could call him anytime if I had an emergency. As far as his treatment of me has been, I would highly recommend him and I would grade him an A+.

poor consult
My child was in the ICU. Dr. Abrams did a consult - and billed for it - while they were sleeping. (They had been up all night in the ER waiting for admission, and he rounded in the mid morning.) He never returned to my child when they were more alert. This was a juncture in my child's life when they could have used some serious psychiatric guidance and Dr. Abrams failed to provide the lowest level of support. Even if he was not an expert in the issue at hand, he could have had a serious conversation and recommendations. This was a "NON" consult, for which he was paid.

This office is poorly managed. There is always, always at least an hour wait after your scheduled appointment due to the worst overbooking issue I've ever seen in an office. The receptionists scoff when you ask for an appointment that fits yoir schedule and become rude when they have to look throigh the schedule rather than just dole out their first sighted appointment. There is no sensitivity for the patient whatsoever. The doctor isnt aware of new treatment protocols and is completely insensitive to the issue of his receptionists and office
