I think he’s a wonderful doctor! He listens to your complaint's he’s thoughtful takes time with you, explains everything, I get epidurals for back pain and I always get relief he knows his job! I promise he’s the best!

If I could zero stars I would! After waiting months to get in and waiting over an hour after my appointment time the nurse came in to tell me the doctor wouldn’t see me without a referral. Someone could have told me when I scheduled the appointment or the months after that! Will not return!

Thinks all patients with chronic pain are drug addicts. I’m just now filing a complaint with cal med board. Caveat emptor

Been going to PM for 2 pages of damage to my lower back which I had examined by Best ortho surgeons on west coast. My regular GP could no longer write rx for pain meds because of opiod crisis so I was sent to rastager. He gave me a small rx for back with lecture on how bad pain meds were yet for 15 years I had been prescribed meds for real chronic pain. He gave me a small rx and I didn’t see him again for 2 years and had been prescribed meds by another doctor a couple times. I end up going back to Hooman when I really blew back out and couldn’t stand up straight. He recommended therapy I told him I was a 35 contractor who walks 20,000 steps a day and therapy was useless. Three days later I get a letter from a nurse saying I was banned from seeing PM doctors because I had received meds from a doctor outside of their doctors and that I had signed an exclusive agreement not to go outside of their group and the letter from nurse had sent me a copy of agreement but I never didn’t remember?

Dr Rastegar is first and foremost compassionate and truly empathetic/sympathetic with chronic pain. He takes the time to go over your care plan, for me that included making sure my emotional well being was being cared for as well. We go over options with each visit, consider new paths to pursue, and he is always quick to answer and email or phone message. I would and have suggest him to anyone needing pain management.

Dr. Rastagar finally listened to me when other pain management specialists didn't. He diagnosed the source of my pain and helped make it better from the first visit. I finally understand how the nerve pain that I experience works, and how I can try to interrupt it through alternative means as well as medications.

I was so afraid to go to pain mgmt, but I feel so comfortable with Dr. Rastegar and his opinions and experience. I have had two epidural's..the second one I had because I fell a week after the first one. I didn't hesitate to call his office to get another one. Dr. Rastegar has such a great bedside manner, and in the operating room, lets you know what he is doing at the time. I would recommend Dr. Rastegar to ANYBODY. Thank you Dr. Rastegar
