Potentially Life-Saving Change
I had been seeing another dermatologist for 20 or 25 years and he had recently sold his practice to a national firm but stayed on. I felt like my visits were getting shorter and shorter so at the urging of my wife chose to switch to Dr. Volkman - her dermatologist. I had a dark spot on my upper lip that I had specifically asked my previous doctor about. He brushed it off and said 'It's nothing, but if it bothers you, we could take it off.'As soon as Dr. Volkman walked into the exam room she asked 'How long have you had that spot on your lip?' A month or so later I had a melanoma removed from my lip and reconstructive surgery done by a plastic surgeon. Thankfully they got it all, but that could have turned out so much differently if I hadn't changed doctors.Dr. Volkman was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, kind, caring and thorough and I will always be thankful for the great care she's always provided my wife and now me.

A wonderful doctor
I love Dr. Volkman. I’ve had many skin issues and have been to a number of dermatologists. I’ve finally found a doctor I feel comfortable with. The treatment is high quality and everyone is so kind.

I just started seeing Dr. Volkman as my dermatologist, to keep tabs on possible skin cancer lesions. She was thorough in their examination, and informative in her interaction with me. She was cautious but not overly aggressive in her treatments. I am so glad to be her patient. I have been well-served by her and her staff.

Dr. Volkman has been wonderful in helping me deal with psoriasis. I have never had to wait long for appointments. The staff is wonderful. I always feel as though they are totally focused on helping me.
