Quack Doctor
He's eager to push bipolar medication without coming to a proper diagnosis. He gave me a diagnosis of being bipolar in a matter of five minutes even though none of my other care specialists who had worked with me for years thought I had the condition. He also prescribed me a ton of lithium that proved ineffective. When I would come in saying it wasn't working, he would up the dose. By the time I stopped seeing him, I was on 600mg of lithium and day and was feeling some of the symptoms of lithium toxicity.

This man should not be allowed to practice.
I was seeking a med adjustment, having been struggling with severe anxiety and OCD symptoms. He told me since I don’t wash my hands all the time, I must not have OCD. He diagnosed me right off the bat with Bipolar II, even though I have never experienced manic symptoms in my life, and prescribed me medication that has exacerbated my condition in the past. I left the office in tears, feeling totally hopeless, and will not be returning to see this awful man.

He’s by far the worst psychiatrist I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t listen to a word you say. He talks over and belittles you. When I started seeing him I was doing wonderful on the medicine I had been prescribed from my former psychiatrist. With out speaking with me he changed all of my medications. Just recently he over prescribed me a medication that caused me to have severe anxiety and panic. You can’t talk to this doctor because he won’t listen to you. He well tell you I’m the doctor you are the patient. Horrible, horrible, horrible doctor!!!

This was one of the worst experiences with a doctor in my life. Within 10 minutes of meeting him for the first time he said I was bipolar (based on me having zero symptoms of bipolar), told me I was an alcoholic because I had gone from 1-2 drinks/week to 1-2 drinks/month (he barked that people who only drink 1-2 times per week don't just stop drinking, so I must be an alcoholic), barked at me not to ask questions when I tried to understand how he arrived at the bipolar diagnosis, and yelled at me to shut up and trust him when I asked about the medications he wanted me to take (which I've learned have extremely serious side effects and aren't actually indicated for bipolar). He would bark "I am the psychiatrist, you are not. You do what I tell you, or you go suffer by yourself. Which do you want?? I am a psychiatrist for over 40 years, you have never been a psychiatrist. You do what I tell you." I do not trust this man, and I think he should have his medical license removed.

I went in because I suspected all of my issue with school could be due to undiagnosed ADHD. I am an adult and Dr. Yang informed me that since I wasn't diagnosed as a child, there is no way I could have it as an adult. He also told me that ADHD doesn't cause mood swings (even though latest studies show that it does) and that I had to be bipolar. When the session was finally over he told me he was prescribing me mood stabilizers, I told him I wasn't interested in in drugs. He got upset with me and asked what I was even there for then. I said that I wanted to be tested for ADHD and if I had it, that I could get accommodations for school. He said since I was a B student, I shouldn't need accommodations and then insinuated that I wasn't smart enough to be an engineering student. The session ended with him telling me to just go to the front desk and they will sign whatever waver I needed for accommodations.

By far the worst experience I have had with a psychiatrist in my life, and I have seen several over the years in multiple states. I felt that I was subhuman and not important to him as a person. I walked out of the appointment after 5 minutes of him interrogating me about my symptoms. He tried to tell me I had bipolar disorder even though I specifically told him that another practitioner told me that I didn’t have it. I left in tears shaking with anger. Avoid this man at all costs.

This "doctor" told me I "do not have anxiety, you are just being a woman and women overreact to everything." ... Are you kidding me? I had seen this "Doctor" for three years, he NEVER knew who I was when I went in for my appointments. He would prescribe me medications that I have tried in the past, when I would tell him they gave me horrible side effects (such as hemorrhaging) he would get offended and tell me I was wrong and that he is "the professional". This is just SOME of the problems.

This was perhaps the worst experience I've ever had with a medical provider. Dr. Yang diagnosed me before I even walked in the door. When I asked questions, or brought up other solutions he yelled at me and accused me of lying and shouted "Who is the psychiatrist here? ME? or YOU?". I explained some of my symptoms that didn't fit with his diagnosis, and he told me my symptoms were wrong, and that his diagnosis was correct. I would stay away from this provider at all costs.

Dr. Yang is far and away the worst doctor I've encountered. He shows no respect for patients or their concerns, ignores their testimonies in favor of diagnoses he seems to divine a priori, and refuses to explain his decisions or answer questions. His primary goal seems to be to get patients in an out as fast as possible, with more medication the only treatment he ever prescribes, and actively impedes patients pursuing any other form of treatment.

Does not listen to patients concerns or opinions, will talk over patient, will refuse treatment if patient dares to disagree with diagnosis given after only a few minutes of interaction and vague understanding of patients issue. Severe pride and arrogance issue. Would rate him -100 in all areas of care if I could.
