Doctor: Where are my records?
I was his patient in Elgin Illinois for a few years. I was very happy with his care. Not sure why he closed his solo practice and moved to the Southwest. Big issue is not being able to have my records transferred to a new doctor. I am very disappointed that for some reason my records have not yet been provided. This is needed for to receive proper continuity of care. I have followed the instructions given to request my records but there has been as of today no response. I have requested my records several times. PLEASE give us our records. PLEASE!!

Excellent
Excellent - superior appointment with both Corey- Opthalmic Tech/Refractionist & Dr Bernstein. Clear information, in depth exam, discussion of options and conveyed in depth details of multiple eye conditions and issues. Only negative is the practice does not check with your insurance to see if refraction is a covered benefit ( mine is & my insurer has called and advised them of the coverage) but they insist on charging $40.00 at the appt and then you have to call for reimbursement. Will try a stronger prescription and if thatvdoes not work will schedule cataract surgery.

Refused to wear a mask when indoor mask mandates were in place in New Mexico. Discounted my concerns about Covid19 transmission. Will not return and will not recommend him to anyone.

I was his patient in IL for 20 years. I was in the middle of being evaluated for ocular migraines when he closed his office with NO WARNING. I did not receive a phone call or letter. I called to make my follow up appointment and the office was closed. I have requested my records multiple times via the office to no avail. My parent's were his patients too. At least they got a letter but can not get their records either. My new Ophthalmologist's office stated they received many of his patients and EVERYONE is having great difficulty getting their records. This more than anything lets you know how patient's are prioritized. None of us here in IL could follow his practice so who cares if we get our records. This treatment of me as a patient wipes out 20 years of care. I would give no stars if I could. So glad I did search for him and could let future patients know they are just paychecks to this physician.
