Dr. Harry Anagnostakos, DO

The only doctor I looked forward to seeing. One gets the feeling he really cares and offers his experiences to heal body and brain.

Dr. Harry was extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful throughout my entire appointment. Firstly, he asked to take his mask off during our appointment stating he couldn't breathe, that he doesn't believe in Anthony Fauci, and that he believes "in science." He acted extremely inappropriately when asking about my personal history, making false claims about the health of my parents, who were not present. He repeatedly shouted into his cell phone to have Google explain medical information to us. Shouldn't he just have known the information? He would ask leading questions in order to get the kind of answers he wanted, and frustratedly put his phone down when he wasn't getting the answers he wanted, but continued to make claims even Google wasn't supporting. In conclusion, he told me he doesn't know what's wrong with me but followed up with saying he doesn't believe in Probiotics or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, yet he claims to be a GI doctor.

I'm an attorney that graduated at the top of my class and earned twelve academic awards during law school and, when I go for a visit with Dr. Harry, I leave feeling stupid; the man is that brilliant. He also understands that medications can do more harm than good (many times being toxic) and he wants to find the cause of conditions, not just prescribe drugs. He is the only physician in this State I have recommended my loved ones to. He is up to date on all current treatments and is very innovative. He treats me for GI issues caused by the prior use of SSRI drugs; drugs which caused permanent neurological side effects. Dr. Harry has also always spent adequate time with me and I knew I wasn't just a number in the system to him.

Dr. Harry is one of the best in Delaware by far!!

This “doctor” isn’t a board certified gastroenterologist and is rude, arrogant, and a know-it-all. He doesn’t even have an MD - he has a “ Doctor of Osteopathy.” I wouldn’t send anyone I care about to him. I got out quickly and found a real doctor who correctly diagnosed my problem and treated it. This guy is a scope-pusher so he can make money in his own facility. He won’t use anesthesia because he’s too much of a control freak. Look elsewhere if you require being knocked-out during procedures.

I am an exsisting patient of Dr Harry's. I have been experiencing diarrhea for 2 weeks and called for an appointment. The receptionist offered me January 5 2018. What is wrong here? I can cal prior Drs I saw in Philadelphia and get an appointment probably tomorrow. How can I continue to live in this city when you need to see a specialist DR, have an urgent need and he schedules me for January. I hope someone see's this from the practice. Oh yes, the wait time on the phone was greater than 10

Dr. Anagnostakos is by far one of the best, if not the best Doctor in Delaware. He really cares and takes the time to treat all his patients like family. I was recommended to Dr. Harry by several friends and husband. I had my first colonoscopy in December 2016. It was nothing! I was awake during the procedure and Dr. Harry explained everything, including removing a polyp that would have turned into cancer, per Dr. Harry and my regular Doctor. I feel blessed and lucky! Don't put it off!
