I’ve been seeing Dr. Bernstein for at least 10 years. To say I was shocked and extremely disappointed to learn he was no longer in the reactive would be an understatement. He is an excellent physician and has treated my glaucoma with the care and concern that is second to none. If I am able to locate him I will certainly request him as my specialist. To anyone that is lucky enough to have him as their doctor, congratulations to you.

Great Physician
I LOVE Dr Bernstein. I have been seeing him for about 5 yrs. He is able to answer my questions without making me feel I am wasting his time.. I was VERY upset when I received the letter that he iis no longer in the practice.. I Will follow him if he is still practicing. I want the expertise of a Glaucoma specialist.. Yes you would wait for him,But I saw another practice when I moved here and they charged me for test that they ordered.. That was not the case with him. even for the same tests. Thank you for reading my thoughts.

Gone
Sure the wait times could be long but I trusted no one more with my vision (I credit him with saving what vision I have left)… and then I found out he left the practice at the end of 2023 .(right before my next appointment). and no one else in the practice does glaucoma.. so I’m left looking for another doctor.

Unbelievable
Great doc IF you don’t mind waiting literally all day after your appointment time. I waited 45 mins after appt time, then nearly two hours before seeing doc. Seems he schedules multiple patients in clumps at the same times. Unacceptable!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Bernstein for about eight years, but enough is enough. On my last appointment I was in the office exactly two hours, 67.5% of which was waiting, 17 minutes just to be seen, and 64 minutes after the exam waiting for a 10-minute audience with his highness to go over the exam. At the two-hour mark, I left, because my time is just as important to me, if not more important, than Dr. Bernstein’s time is to him. For one hour and four minutes I was kept waiting in a room with five other patients, all but one in the high risk for coronavirus category. In the current environment, this is totally unsafe and unacceptable. Dr. Bernstein needs to take fewer patients per day so we are not stacked up on top of each other in a waiting room for an hour. But of course, that means less income, and we all have our priorities. This was not the first time I left without seeing him due to a long wait, but you can bet it will be my last.

Dr Harold Bernstein has been my ophthalmologist for 17 year long He is on top of latest medicine and treatment of eye disorders. His staff is the best trying to make sure you are comfortable and everything is at right level for testing. He is caring and concerned about his patients and keeping them in the right glasses or contacts with follow ups and yearly reminders. If he notices anything beyond his specialty he will help refer you to doctor who deals with your experiencing.

He is one of the most caring Doctors you could see.. He takes time to explain and listen to your concerns... Very warm and always greets you with a warm smile and handshake. His nurses Pam and Amy are wonderful - His front staff could be a little more patient friendly.

I have been seen by Dr. Bernstein for glaucoma for many years. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, professional. I would recommend him fully. He is a skilled surgeon, also, as my husband found when he had eye surgery several years ago. I would not consider going anywhere else for my eyes.
