Dr. Harlan Starr, MD

After being told by another ortho I was too old to have wrist surgery 72yrs I went for another opinion chose Dr Starr, he took a look & knew I needed surgery & my hand wouldn't have healed very well & I most probably wouldn't have full range of motion. He preformed my surgery plates & nails it healed beautifuly, & I have full function I'm a baker & def need both my wrists. The scar is so minimal you can not even see it, He is skillful, competent & compasionate qualities in my esperience that seemed long lost before engaging with Dr. Starr

Dr Starr diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome and sent me to a nerve study specialist who confirmed that surgery was necessary. I'm two weeks into recovery and it's been easy with negligible pain. Dr Starr and the whole office are great!

Both courteous and efficient. I feel he knows me as a patient and gives my appointment all his attention. Dr Starr is knowledgeable and he cares.

Very impressed with Dr. Starr's immediate response to an urgent situation as the on-call doctor, and his surgical skills. Now I have two favorites at GA Hand - Dr. Seiler and Dr. Starr! Have confidence and trust in both of them. Also the presence of the onsite rehab department, including OT services, really enhances their practice - great care and ideas for home care, adaptations with aging, TLC. I often recommend these doctors and their practice to friends, colleagues, and my own patients.

Dr. Starr is the best! I had two different things causing my inability to write and draw. He explained everything so clearly, spent time asking me questions and came up with an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. I’m forever grateful to Dr.Starr. His office staff is a pleasure to deal with, too. I was seen promptly each time I had an appointment.

Excellent experience. I was pleased to meet Dr. Starr and found him to be very friendly, professional and thorough. I had a problem with my thumb and I think it shall be much better from his treatments.
