Excellent ENT Doctor
My case was complicated and he was very thorough. He took time out of his busy patient schedule to make sure he obtained the biopsies needed for a diagnosis.

Positive experience
I was looking up Dr. Haveman's number to make an appointment and I read the negative reviews. I was actually quite surprised. I don't usually leave reviews but has to in this case as I just cannot relate AT ALL as my experience was nothing but positive. I found Dr. Haveman to be very professional, empathetic and thorough in his diagnosis and treatment. He ordered appropriate tests and provided several treatment options for my issue. He appeared very knowledgeable on my issue and I have total confidence in him as a doctor.

Poor experience - see someone else.
My experience was very poor. I sent this email to someone I trust, for a recommendation of another ENT I could talk with. "My left ear has been plugged for several weeks now.  I think I need to get this looked at. Have tried decongestants, etc. not much help. I went online to read reviews for Dr. Gregory Haveman to make sure my first impression was not him just having a bad day.  Reviews from other patients were similar to my assessment of Dr. Haveman. Who would you recommend as an alternative for an ENT?" I just got back from having an actuarial conversation with a different ENT - what a difference! This ENT actually engaged in a conversation. After doing some tests, the conclusion was reached that my left Eustachian tube is most definitely plugged. At this point, I have a prescription for Flonase for 4 weeks to see if it will reduce inflammation in the left eustachian tube.

I would not recommend Dr. Haveman
My experience was very poor and after I asked him a simple question about my circumstances he demanded I leave his office, telling me "You are attacking me." Haveman needs proper counsel and sincere reflection about how he treats patients and about his orientation to his work. I filed a grievance and received a thoughtful reply from the administration of the hospital.

After checking in online in advance, I arrived 10 minutes prior to my 9:00 surgery consult appointment. At 9:00, the nurse took me back to check my blood pressure, etc. Then I was left in a small examination room until 9:30 with no Dr. and no explanation. By this point, I determined the Dr. wasn't available to see me. I have a business to run, same as him. I explained the situation to the receptionist, and left. I have had no contact from the Dr. or his staff. No phone call, no email, nothing. I consider this to be highly unprofessional. I will now be forced to seek medical care out of town, as I do not feel confident in this Dr's professionalism, or level of interest in my well being.

Dr. Haveman has zero empathy for his patients. A family member was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Haveman found out the results from the lab one day after the biopsy was done and didn't care to give us the results for two weeks. Then after he got more scans done on the next visit he didn't see it as being important enough to even pick up the scan results for 3 days. We were told he was too busy. Too busy for a patient who has been diagnosed with cancer and is waiting to see how bad it really is?!

My son has had Chronic nose bleeds. He let my son make the decision on what he wanted to do, which my son chose to wait. Now a month later we are back to have his nose Cauterized. We really liked him, and would highly recommend Dr Haveman.
