Not happy!
Had hip replacement surgery. He met with me and I felt he would be a caring doc. But instead, I felt that I was in a hip replacement mill. Once surgery was done, I felt he and his PA had no time for me. My Visits were rushed and they didn't care about my concerns.

I was referred to Dr. Valdivia by my primary physician. He and his staff are excellent. I would definitely recommend him. Good doctors are very hard to find…

Please do not use this doctor Gonzalo Valdivia. By rushing he crushed or cut critical nerves. My experience with Dr. Valdivia was crippling. I arrived at Palm Bay Hospital to be admitted for a total hip replacement surgery on April of 2021. I asked the nurse, how many of these does he do each day and she said to me well he has six today. When I was awakened my hip felt fine but my right leg and foot were numb. My foot felt like it was wrapped in plastic tape, my calf felt like a knife was sticking in the back. This was not normal. Dr. Valdivia said I never saw this. He kept me over night which usually doesn't happen. The sent me home the next day. I iced my foot as told and took Hydrocodone. After one week my foot felt like it was in a fire of hot coals. This lasted three months 24 hours a day. My foot is still numb after ten months but I am doing my exercises to build up my leg muscles. I looked up the situation I had and found that many people had a similar experience.

Dr. Valdivia replaced my right and left hip joints. His office staff was very friendly and helpful. Sometimes you have to wait, but you are taken in order of your appointment time. No one can sneak in earlier than their time. I have sent one of my colleagues to Dr. Valdivia. As a Radiologic Technologist, for 48 years, I know a great doc, when I see one. Dr. Valdivia is a great one.

Dr. Valdivia replaced my right knee a year ago. I have been very pleased throughout the whole process, from my first evaluation until my discharge today. He insisted on maximum bend and a straight knee for which I am very grateful. He and his staff are very empathetic. Yes, there are times when you may have a long wait for your appointment but that just means that the doctor is spending as much time with each patient as they require and I think that is what we all appreciate.

Last February, I had bilateral knee replacements by Dr Valdivia. Excellent experience. Dr. Valdivia is personable, professional and did a great job on my knees! Today I had my 1 year follow up and have been released and do not have to return unless I have a problem. My knees are just great! Love his staff including Dawn his Nurse Practitioner. Also, had a positive experience at Palm Bay Hospital.

Very bad first appointment. Was referred by PCP for right shoulder pain. Appt. was scheduled for 3:15, office staff asked for me to arrive at 2:45. When I arrived at 2:40, office waiting room was full. I completed my paperwork in about 10 minutes, turned it in and waited. Waited and waited and waited. Other folks sitting in the waiting room were also talking about how you never get in at your appt. time. At 4:10, asked for my CD back and then left. Wait times are unacceptable.

After much research I decided on Dr. Valdivia for my total knee replacement. I could not be any happier with him or his whole staff. They are all very efficient, caring, and professional! Later my wife fell and fractured her hip. I requested that he take care of the repair. He willingly responded and did her surgery the following day. Again, she is just as happy as I.

I was truly surprised at the negative reviews and glad I didn't base my opportunity for a great surgeon on them. Dr. Valdivia did surgery on my shoulder. From my first appt. to last I couldn't be more pleased. His staff and Dawn his PA were always super nice, always giving me full attention and time. His physical therapy partners next door were beyond amazing. I could not have recovered without them as well and quickly as I did. Thank you Dr. Valdivia for putting this Soldier back together.

Dr. is good. Hesitant to go back....PA is arrogant jerk. Don't want to have anything to do with PA. Want the Dr. to see me, not a smart mouth want-a-be PA. Office is too small, doc needs to spend a bit more time with patients. Rehap...really bad. Young kids don't understand pain and how to rehap after surgery. If I'm all jacked up on pain meds. of course I can do 150 knee bends. "not smart". Would recommend Dr. Valdivia if one can tolerate his staff.

Dr. Valdivia has completed replacement of both hips. February 2015 was the left hip and November 2015 was the right hip. Both times the operation was completed Monday afternoon. Myself along with other joint patientS walked (not well) to the physical therapy room. We did this again Wednesday afternoon. About 2 hours later we were discharged from the hospital. Dr. Valdivia and his staff were wonderful. I will have my right shoulder replaced February 2017 and both of my knees maybe May 2017.
