If you are seeking a neurologist to help you with your quality of life post stroke please look elsewhere! This Dr has a horrible bedside manner, his conversations are self fulfilling and he will do nothing to help you get better. I am follow up 6 mo post stroke and he asked me why I was there? Them proceeded to say a stroke is a stroke the damage is done you need to learn to live with it. No follow up care, no empathy, no preventative reoccurrence... FYI my strokes were not cardiac based. I am blown away, today's appt was useless to me and my rehab and future. Apparently after several dozen strokes I was not entitled to follow up care.

Dr Ferrer may appear to not respect an audience of critical-thinking family members when trying to explain post-stroke recrudescence. However, once we saw through his East Coast veneer AND appreciated his Gertrude Stein reference, we were grateful for his consult. We need more physicians with his training and relatability.

I was going to Dr. Ferrer for a few years in the Hoboken office and would highly recommend. I was sad to say he is no longer practicing in New Jersey and will be greatly missed. He was compassionate in finding the right medicine that worked for me after a long journey of ups and downs with no relieve. I will for ever be grateful for his patience and caring of my individual needs. Now the journey to find another doctor is going to be stressful. Thank you again for caring and helping me.

Dr. Ferrer was recommended to me by my Primary physician. He has helped me greatly with my arthritis pain. I will never forget what he has done for me. Good luck in California Dr. You will be sorely missed in New Jersey.
