Dr. George Behrens, MD

So thankful to Dr Behrens and his team for saving my life in an emergency situation by removing lots of old blood clots and inserting a number of stents to keep my veins open. 1 year after surgery I was feeling really good. Now, 3.5 years later I am living a very healthy life and feel great. His team has also been diligent about follow up care. I am appreciative of all this team has done.

Doctor Behrens was not the doctor who I had my initial consultation with but he was the doctor available for surgery that day. I was scheduled for a bone biopsy of the left hip. He initially started the procedure on the right hip when I reminded him that the procedure was supposed to be performed on the left hip. He insisted that a biopsy on the right front of the hip would be better because it would be less invasive and less painful. He spoke on the phone with some one and the nurse had me sign the consent for the biopsy on the right hip. I woke from antistetic with a biopsey in the right hip AND a biopsey in the left hip. The reason I am giving 1 star is because the doctor did not check up on me after the procedure and I was given no explanation as to what had happened.

My dear wife was dealing with pancreatic cancer and of all the doctors we've dealt with this was the most understanding and compassionate man we've ever met. Although he could not heal her he did all he could to make her comfortable and understand what was happening . My angel passed away 4/12/19 but she would have wanted me to leave a kind word for Dr Behrens and his wonderful bedside manner. Ron K

I took my mom for a consultation to Dr Behrens and he was very informative and spent quality time discussing the case. I believe he will guide us and take great care of my mom. Thanks, I wish all doctor's visits were so enjoyable.

I would not recommend this doctor!!!! He did a procedure on my dad and fractured 2 of his vertebrates. My dad was in extreme pain and this doctor didn't even tell him that he did it. He told him that he was in pain because of shingles!!! Unbelievable! My dad was in such pain that they were heavily medicating him so much that he went into kidney failure and died. I would never trust this doctor and his practices are not up to current standards!

The doctor and complete staff and all personnel in the hospital were extremely kind, considerate, knowledgeable and put me at ease. The doctor and treatment room staff made me feel like a person, not just another somebody. I would highly recommend them all. I wish I could remember all their names but I do remember Dr. George Behrens, Peder, Micki (NIcki?) Lea and the other two.
