lack of care
same thing as the other review, she lowered my lithium to have me get bloodwork to check. ended up having an episode that landed me in the ER with stitches. she only talks to her patients on tuesdays so i had to wait 6 days to talk to her. i called the office and a very rude and unhelpful office lady answered the phone and told me she was in meetings and that i needed to wait and that she doesn’t change meds over the phone. telling me to get the blood test done in the next week to me sounded like she was going to fix it when she got the results. i ended up getting a call back from the office lady and she told me henry said to keep taking my meds and that she’ll see me one week sooner. this is not practical care if you are bipolar. being a psychiatrist and only being available 4 times a month and 1 time a month for med adjustments is actually crazy.

I made an appointment with Dr Henry in January 2023 to discuss changing the medication I was taking for depression symptoms. Almost immediately after changing the meds as Dr Henry prescribed, I went into an episode of antidepressant discontinuation syndrome and tried to contact Dr Henry's office to ask for advice on what to do between now and my next appointment with Dr Henry, which was 2 weeks away. I was told Dr Henry would not do medication changes over the phone, so I told the receptionist I would just do what I felt was best for myself. Within 15 minutes Dr Henry called me to chastise me for trying to contact her between appointments and made several comments like 'I don't understand why you're upset, I told you in our appointment that I don't do med changes over the phone'. She never tried to understand my issue or offer any care, compassion or concern. I would strongly caution others to avoid Dr Henry. It certainly doesn't seem like she's interested in helping people.
