Dr Syal has always been polite and professional, and although I have had to wait at times to see him, he is always been available for urgent appts for me, and has been easy to communicate via mychart. I always meet first with his NP Erin (who is also wonderful) and he always spends a lot of time going over current issues and plan of care. I appreciate his hard work in trying to find the best treatment for me.

Proper diagnosis
Dr. Syal always gave me his full attention and time when I had an appointment. He diagnosed me correctly and prescribed the medication that I still currently take. I cannot believe the negative reviews about him and feel compelled to write this one. He is excellent.

Terrible experience
I was assigned this doctor after my previous doctor left. Needless to say that I had to wait over an hour over my appointment time, he acted annoyed that I am now seeing him in clinic. He was very rude and acted in a timid, arrogant way. He made me feel stupid the entire visit. Terrible communication. Never again. Wasted my time and effort.

Dr syal is a terrible doctor, in fact he is the worst Doctor i have ever met. Thanks to him I now have to use a walker,because the guy is incompetent. If you care about your health don't see him.

With my previous GI doctor moving out of state, I was referred to Dr. Syal. This was an initial meeting to see if he was a good fit for me. Not only did he make me wait 40 minutes before seeing me, but when he did enter the room he started describing a course of action without having asked me a single question about my history, what I was looking for in a doctor or the current state of my IBD. If you are looking for a doctor who is interested in you as a person and your overall wellness, I do not recommend Dr. Syal. Needless to say, the search for my new GI doctor continues.
