Very Skilled and Knowledgeable
I came into the hospital from a serve car crash and needed emergent surgery. Zimmerman pro-formed a successful double spinal fusion on me. He visited daily to check back and had great bedside manner. He is extremely knowledgeable and very skilled surgeon. Because of him I’m able to live a full life with little restraints.

A Highly Skilled Neurosurgeon with a Caring Heart!
Dr. Zimmerman did my cervical spine fusion surgery in Jan. 2024 with a wonderful result. He is an experienced and highly skilled neurosurgeon with a kind caring heart.I had herniated desks. Before I decided to have the surgery, Dr. Zimmerman gave me the opportunity to try non-surgical treatments first. On the day of surgery Dr. Zimmerman came to talk to me. He told me that I was the only patient he scheduled for the entire morning, and he would take his time doing my surgery. He ensured me that I was in a good hand and I would feel much better after the surgery. His comforting words and confidence put me at ease. Surely, right after the surgery the terrible terrible pain on my right arm and my upper back disappeared immediately. Nine months post-op.Most time I don’t even remember that I have had neck surgery. And the surgical scar healed so well. If I don’t point it out, nobody will even tell that I have a scar in front of my neck.I am extremely lucky to have been cared for by him

Great Dr., excellent surgeon and caring person.
I can't say enough great things about Dr Zimmerman. I read a couple of bad reviews and honestly sat there dumbfounded. He is anything but what that person described. He is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. He explained everything and all my options. Also very realistic expectations. He has done 2 spinal fusions on me in 5 years and the results are exactly as he said they would be, maybe even better. He is also very conservative and surgery was not his first go to remedy! On top of that his bedside manner is excellent, not like some of these condescending doctors. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My husband had surgery on Tuesday and was up and walking with a brace on Wednesday. Dr. Zimmerman was professional and was able to fix a problem that has plagued my husband for two years. He took time to explain the procedure and was great on following up on my husband after the surgery. Would definitely recommend him if you need surgery.

Dr. Zimmerman installed a new shunt in my head as it relates to hydrocephalus. He is a brilliant surgeon. He is thoughtful and caring; explains things very well; and you never feel rushed. I cannot say enough good things about him. I would recommend Dr. Zimmerman to anyone who needs a surgeon.

Zimmerman came into the examining rom for less than 5 minutes. I have a pinched nerve in my neck. He didn't even bother with xrays to see the condition of my neck and spine. I mentioned that my friend is certified in Thai Massage. He said, why don't you see if he can help. I've never been so disappointed in a doctors behavior. I've seen other doctors in this group and all have been excellent. If you are offered an appointment with this doctor, a PA would definitely be more helpful.

Dr. Zimmerman is an exceptional doctor. As a patient with numerous spinal problems I found him to be highly professional, reassuring, and very thorough. I was most impressed with his level of expertise, observant demeanor, and overall quality of curative measures he offered. Dr. Zimmerman correctly diagnosed my condition and took time to explain possible therapeutic and surgical options. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Zimmerman and will forever be grateful.

I am amazed at the skills of Dr.Zimmerman. He performed 2 craniotomies on my husband for 2 strokes within a 15-hour time period. It truly is miraculous that he survived and is recovering very well. Dr. Zimmerman took the time to explain everything to me in a compassionate and caring manner. He called me promptly after both procedures to inform me of the outcome. I cannot thank him enough-he is truly an incredible surgeon and a life-savior!

He treated me as though I was wasting his time. Like a cold fish. He has no personality and couldn't get me out the door fast enough! All I heard was your MRI wasn't that bad. I had questions and got "I don't know". But doctor, what's causing these outrageous pains I've been getting in my legs ? Idk. There's nothing I can do for you (as he holds the door open) I was so put off by him, I went looking for this site asap. He's demeaning and acts like he could care less. Very disappointed. NEVER!

Dr. Zimmerman and his PA Chris Dall are an excellent team. Dr. Zimmerman is a very skilled surgeon and Chris is very knowledgeable. Both are very caring and attentive to their patient's needs and well being. They removed a large tumor from my wife's brain and had to install two shunts for a total of three surgeries. My wife had a complicated medical history and Dr. Zimmerman quickly found solutions to each complication that arose.

Dr. Zimmerman is a very thoughtful down to earth specialist. With a quiet confidence tempered with humbleness he explains your problem and what he can do to help fix it. Chris Dahl, his PA is a perfect compliment to this team who works in perfect synchronization. My biggest regret is not meeting them 5 yrs earlier.
