Dr. Gary Lepow, DPM

I had a weird lump on the arch of my right foot (about the size of a peanut M&M or so). Dr. Lepow took one look at it and correctly identified it as a plantar fibroma. It didn't hurt at all, so he gave me a few options; either remove it or leave it and keep an eye our for changes in size or discomfort (plantar fibromas are non-cancerous, fyi). I'm a procrastinator by nature, so of course I punted. Eventually when I finally decided to have it removed, the process went pretty quickly. Doctor Lepow and his assistant (Alex) were super helpful in answering all my questions, setting appointment and surgery times, and helping with the short term disability paperwork for my job. The surgery went so smooth I literally didn't even need to take a single pain pill afterward. Obviously when it was first diagnosed they did an X-ray, and after the surgery they also sent a sample for a pathology test just to 100% confirm everything was OK. Dr. Lepow must have magic fingers because I didn't feel any pain after my foot surgery. In fact, I never would have know that he operated after the surgery because there was no pain or discomfort other than wearing a boot. Dr. Lepow helped me several years back when I was having a bout with plantar fasciitis. But I had to return to have him remove a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot. He also took the time during my appointments to discuss several options and helped to find the option that would be best for me. Dr. Lepow gets a 10 out 10 gold star recommendation from me!

I saw Dr. Lepow more than 20 years ago for my ingrown toenail on my left big toe. I was happy with the service and the outcome then. Last week I went back to him for the same issue with my right big toe. He’s still as great as ever and I did the quick in office procedure and three days later I am in my shoes walking around with zero pain and zero discomfort. He is great and I highly recommend him. I love him!

I enjoy going to Dr. Lepow. He talks to you. And he has fixed several annoying problems with my feet. What was most impressive was seeing the transformation of my friend's feet after he did surgery to correct hammer toe. This was a very disforming condition. After the surgery, she could wear sandals and her feet looked great. He is an expert on foot care and is highly regarded in the med center.

I had great confidence in choosing Dr. Lepow for double plantar fasciitis surgery. He was honest and forthright about the pros and cons and was also conservative in his approach. And yet when it was time to move forward with the procedures, I felt good that he's had so much extensive experience in practice and in teaching in the field. I would choose him again because he came so highly recommended by others.

I previously saw Dr. Lepow at the Methodist Wound Care Clinic when I had an incision that wouldn't heal after someone else did surgery on me. I was very impressed and was lucky to have found him as I don't know what would've happened had I not had skin grafts done. When I hurt my ankle last week, there was never a question who I would be calling to see me. I was told to come in the same morning. His clinic was very clean, staff was super nice, and he was the same doc I had previously liked so well. I would highly recommend Dr. Lepow to anyone with foot or ankle issues.

Overall, Dr. Lepow and his staff (Melani in particular) have been wonderful; Really easy to make an appointment and contact with any questions. I would have liked more information about the procedure and perhaps a care plan so I could have a better idea of the timeline and stages of healing. I'm 3 weeks post-op right now and the surgery went very well, but I did just learn that after I'm through wearing a boot, I'll need to begin physical therapy. While that won't be an issue, there's no reason I shouldn't have known that was a part of the recovery process until this late after the procedure. I didn't even leave the surgical center with any information.

Dr. Gary Lepow was referred to me by an orthopedist I was familiar with, having no idea where to start with my foot problems. He put me at ease right away with his likeable manner. Lots of questions and patiently answering the many I had for him. Once I understood my options I had no reservations going with his recommendations. Initial surgery was in spring of 2022, and everything went well? As expected. Then in November we agreed a second procedure would improve the outcome in my one problem toe. Now, just over a month post op, I couldn’t be happier with the results. Gary Lepow is clearly a leader in his field.

When looking for a new doctor, I am not confident until I have a personal recommendation. I did get one from a friend for Dr. Lepow and I was not disappointed and he exceeded my expectations. From my first visit I felt listened to and felt confident with his medical recommendations. Dr. Lepow was very approachable, very skilled, and very reassuring, giving me all the resources I needed to follow his treatment my injured toe with confidence and assurance that I had all I needed to manage my condition following my visit. His staff was equally attentive, warm, and professional.

I had Tailor bunions on both feet shaved down at the same time that I had a "ring toe" straightened. Dr. Lepow was good at describing what was to be done, what was done, and the healing process at all stages. He never rushed and took time to interact with me as an individual. My feet are healing very nicely and I am both satisfied and pleased.

First visit, after listening carefully to my symptoms and details, and with one touch to my heal he diagnosed plantar fasciitis. He carefully explained treatment steps, and expected outcomes. I saw two different doctors before going to Dr. Gary Lepow for a third opinion regarding my crossover toe problem, the two doctors wanted to amputate my toe, whereas, Dr. Lepow did not want to amputate, therefore my toe was saved and the surgery was very successful, especially because I had a tear in my ankle and a trapped nerve, he repaired the ankle and decompressed the nerve and now I feel great! Dr. Lepow is an excellent podiatrist and his office staff is very friendly!
