Dr. LeKander is a highly respected Physician in the Medical Community of Santa Rosa. I met some of his patients when I joined Better Breathers Club. Not only did they appreciate his excellent care, but also, his kindness and patience. Then, Dr. LeKander volunteered his time to speak to the group. A few of us have Scleroderma with complicated lung issues. Wow, were we impressed!! He, not only knew the answers to our questions, but also, had solutions to the various issues we were dealing with. Many of us have encountered Doctors who know very little about Scleroderma (rare) and don't understand it. He has been my Pulmonologist ever since. He knew the right tests to order, how to interpret them, the correct treatments & future options, etc. He listens and does not rush through the office visits. I have highly recommended Dr. LeKander to others in the past and will continue to do so.

I went to my initial and last visit with this doctor a few weeks ago. The office was great, no issues. Dr Lekander spoke to me and behaved in an unprofessional manner. I would not recommend him to anyone...ever.

Dr. LeKander explains my condition thoroughly at every visit, including any recent tests/lab work. He also listens to me respectfully. I feel very fortunate to have him as my pulmonologist.

He came in introduced himself to my daughter and I. He sat down and looked at me and said "You have not had the barractic surgery yet." This was my first visit. He did not know me and I was from out of the area. He was rude and unkind. I tried to file a complaint and was blocked.

I saw Dr. Dr. Lekander several times. I'm a Medicare patient. He knew I didn't have Insurance to cover expensive medications and was unhelpful in obtaining cheaper ones. I found a source for albuterol online.. When I showed it to him,, he told me quote "80% of those medications are worthless. Throw it away.." Bad advice. The medication I got was brand name, made by Teva, a very reputable manufacturer in Israel. He was not interested in checking out my medication or helping me get cheaper ones.
