Probably a competent eye doctor, but has to work on his manners. First time my wife has had eye trouble, and once she began to ask some questions to educate herself, the good doctor reacted like a total a$$hole. She left the office in tears. If he talked to her like that in front of me, he'd be missing his front teeth right now.

Dr Sutherland gave me information that both assured and informed me as the healing progressed through an "extremely aggressive viral" eye infection. This gave me cautious confidence and therefore comfort.

Dr. F. Scott Sutherland treated me in a condescending manner. He refused to answer my simple questions directly, only giving me a medical term I have no understanding of, without explanation, for a common condition. His assistant was similar in attitude. This was a first time visit with this particular doctor, and will be my last. The optical specialist, William, answered my question easily and directly.
