Skilled and honest surgeon.
Luckily Dr. Bennett was the on-duty trauma surgeon when I suffered a multi-bone fracture of my ankle and was transported to the hospital. He repaired what he could immediately and then followed up with me on a bi-weekly basis to determine whether further repair was necessary or advisable. Laid out the options thoroughly and clearly which resulted in my avoiding more surgical procedures and resulted in a complete recovery. I highly recommend him.

?I broke my wrist in January 2021. I will say that Dr. Bennett is a good surgeon, however in my opinion he is a terrible doctor. He seems to care little about his patients feelings. His answers to any questions are nonexistent unless it is specific to the surgery he will perform. Don’t ask how to deal with any issues or fears you have he just doesn’t seem to care. I over and over again told him of my fears of having the external fixation device removed in the office. He repeatedly told me it would take five minutes and to not worry about it. Well it took much longer, after he started he had to leave because he did not have the correct tool. When he came back he pulled and yanked to remove the device, I was screaming in pain. I now have nightmares where I wake up feeling like someone is pulling screws put of my bones. I found out later that this could have been done as an outpatient in the hospital with mild sedation.

Dr. Bennett saved my life. Before the break of dawn, he fixed my broken tibia and fibula. I am eternally grateful to him and all those who help me at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
