For years, my droopy eyelids bothered me greatly, so making the decision to undergo blepharoplasty was a big deal. I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Castello and his team for making my entire experience exceptionally smooth and comfortable.On the day of my surgery, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it all went.The hours spent under anesthesia felt like a peaceful nap. More importantly,I woke up with no pain or discomfort.The best part is that my eyelids look fantastic now and I couldn't imagine a better outcome. I saw this doctor twice specifically for double vision. He offered no help or treatment for either visit and said the double vision would 'probably' go away by itself in 3-4 weeks. A year later, I still have the double vision with no end in sight. On the 3rd visit to his office he said I "didn't need to come back unless I just wanted to'. He made no attempt to offer treatment, took my, and my insurance money, for these visits, offered zero help, then says I don't need to come back again unless I 'want'to! He was somewhat paternalistic; not appreciated nor helpful. The very least he should have done is refer me to someone qualified or interested in helping me. EyeHealth doctors need to be monitored - there are too many taking money and offering no help.

4 months ago Dr. Castillo performed bilateral ptosis repair and blepharoplasty. From his initial consultation to the surgical procedure and then follow-up evaluations, he and his staff were professional and attentive, took time to answer all of my questions and made sure I was satisfied with their answers. Dr. Castillo surgical work was done with a high level of precision, a testament to his expertise. Ptosis repair is a complicated procedure and the results of my surgery are exceptional. I now have perfectly balanced, open and youthful eyes! I regret not going to see Dr. Castillo sooner.

Dr. Castillo performed eye surgery on me. He did a wonderful job. He was very kind and caring. He even called me that Saturday evening to check on me. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Castillo and his assistants were all wonderful to work with. My eyelids were causing some vision issues and resting on my eyelashes which was causing irritation under the fold of skin on one eye. My vision has improved and my eyelids are no longer droopy which makes me very happy. Thank you Dr. Castillo for your excellent work and your staff for making everything go well.

I am very pleased with the three procedures I had performed. My eyes watered continuously so an ectropion repair was done. I also had the upper and lower eyelids done as well. I’m surprised how much better I can see without the eye lids covering my eyes and my eyes no longer water. Also I don’t look so tired anymore. Dr Castillo explains every procedure well including the risks. I never felt rushed. Most times he sat down so he was communicating to me at eye level. I’m at 6 months out now and the scaring is almost all gone.

Dr. Castillo did my eyelid lift. I was having difficulty with night driving from droopy lids contributing to insufficient light and terrible glare. The surgery itself was painless, and recovery went as I had been told to expect. There is a big improvement in my satisfaction with night driving. I have a bit of numbness on the edge of my lids that I am told will subside within 6 months. I would definitely use Dr. Castillo again.

After 20+ yrs with another opthalmalogist who had retired in the spring I searched for another doctor with good credentials and good reviews. I was not disappointed. Dr Castillo has a calm demeaner and very kind and knowledgable. I was very happy with my fit for new glasses. I highly recommend Dr Castillo.
