Dr. Fernando Ravessoud, MD

Dr. Ravessoud did surgery on my hand to treat it for a cat bite. He initially wanted to keep me in the hospital for several days, but humored me when I wanted to be released after only 1.

I have seen Dr Ravessoud for many years with successful results, including surgeries.. However, my left hip total replacement surgery did not go well. I kept complaining about pain and he said that the X-rays showed nothing wrong. Now, more than one year later, I need a walker to get around, can’t get around my myself easily in my own house and have sporadic, intense pain in the groin. As much as I like him personally. I am disappointed And disgusted with the results and cannot recommend him.

Dr Ravessoud has a tremendous ego. He seems friendly but is quick to anger if things do not go smoothly. When he has made a decision for a patient, he does not like to be questioned and will not offer an explanation to the patient or their family members.

I have been suffering from the unbearable pain on my hands for two months. I was miserable and depressed. When I visited Dr. Ravessoud he encouraged me and diagnosed my problem as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He helped me to find a neurologist immediately do my nerve study. When the test result came out, he referred me to see a hand specialist Dr. Campbell for surgery. Within a week or so my surgery was done. I am very grateful to Dr. Ravessoud and Dr. Campbell for their best care and service.

I've seen to Dr.Ravessoud 3 times and not once did he exam me.He sits at his computer and talks about his past for the most part.He's from California and moved to Las Cruces 6 years ago.He has referred me to 3 different doctors for an inflammation on my labs. He thought I had an infection on my lumbar so I had a biopsy.Apparently it was not necessary. The 2nd doctor is relevant, however, the 3rd doctor (Infectious Decease) was not necessary. 2 of the 3 docs, raised an eyebrow for the referral.
