Dr. Felix Nwokolo, MD

He looked at my long history of prescriptions, told me I have great insurance and need electric shock therapy since it would be covered and no meds work for me (even though I told him ones that did that another bad psychiatrist decided to lower 'because they were working so maybe I didn't need them' (that guy doesn't work for Suncoast anymore), and then he said I 'claim' to not have hallucinations. The only thing he did in the end was up a presciption that I was given to help me fall asleep that my last good psychiatrist said I probably don't need anymore, that I needed better anxiety meds instead. He was rude as well. I cannot believe this guy is a real doctor. I'm thinking he's old school and never bothered to learn anything new for the last few decades.

Dr. Felix Nwokolo commented that my dad was probably just "strict" when I told him about the abuse I faced as a child. Additionally, when I told him I didn't believe my antidepressant was working he berated me and told me that it's a good medication and should work. He insisted that I either wasn't taking my medication or had an underlying issue such as anemia since I said I was very exhausted when in a depressive episode. After my last appointment with him I immediately called and requested a new provider. I do not recommend him. He was dismissive and made me exceptionally uncomfortable. If you want to be berated and not taken seriously I recommend him greatly.

Dr. Nwokolo is a very disappointing doctor. He tends to make jokes about my condition, and will tell me to just get through it. He is very unprofessional, as he sits on a yoga ball. He always makes me feel uncomfortable. I would never recommend him.
