Thank you for all your help!
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Pashankar, Dr. Elena Ratner, and Dr. Emily Christison-Lagay for their tremendous help and support for our daughter. Our 12-year-old girl was admitted to Yale on February 14, 2024, in an emergency, feeling extremely bloated and weak. After emergency surgeries to drain the fluid and collect biopsies, we received the diagnosis of stage 4 ovarian cancer. The team was incredibly careful and delicate, yet proactive in initiating immediate chemotherapy, which lasted for 12 weeks. Throughout this time, the entire team was in constant communication, providing full transparency and support whenever needed. The final surgery was scheduled for early June, and the team conducted multiple calls to review alternative options and paths to secure the best outcome, with a focus on preserving our daughter's ovaries and overall health.Fortunately, the treatment was so effective that a laparoscopic surgery was performed instead of the initially discussed

Terrible Hospital Stay - Neglect of Care - Rude
I was "treated" by her at YNH Children's hospital as inpatient recently and it was the worst medical experience I have had in my life. She was rude, and non communicative despite me asking her numerous times to keep me informed and updated. There was failure to communicate with the other members of my care team, treatment plans changed without my knowledge, and an attitude seeming as if I was an inconvenience to her. I had to look on MyChart myself to see the results from my tests even though I was in the hospital and seeing her daily. I was told I was being done a "favor" by being treated there, even though my illness was directly effecting me on a hematology level. I felt ignored as she would brush off my concerns and lie about things relating to my care. I did not feel as if I was being cared for and remained in excruciating pain for the majority of the stay due to the fact I was not being listened to. I would not see Dr. Pashankar again or recommend her to any potential patient.
