Didn't pay attention to what I said
I was in agony from itching. It was obviously a reaction to a medicine that I took. Dr. Jan read my records and chose something totally unrelated and blamed the itching on that. 'I see patients with itching from MGUS all day long'. I think not, since my MGUS (hematology) specialist never heard of such a thing. She prescribed over the counter meds that did nothing. Luckily, I was able to contact another doctor and get something that was effective. It upset me so much, I am still angry a year later!

Treats me like she's"better than" cuz I'm addict
T.B.C. PART 2. The appt was on 5/19 she sent rx to Sullivan's, called office 5/26 asking when next follow up appt is which was August, I explained to receptionist that tunneling wounds that require xeroform dressing daily should be seeing MD weekly to validate healing properly or not I was told I'd get a call back the next week Dr.Jan wasn't in, on 5/27 I went to Sullivan's to pick up rx but was shocked to find out it couldn't be filled b/c Sullivan's faxed a wound diagnosis form that is required to be completed, along with my demographics (address age etc) so my insurance will pay. Sullivan's faxed it but never heard back. I then called when the office was open, left all this info in a detailed msg to be sent to RN as urgent, even explained the wounds are tunneling wounds, I got a call back hours later at 4 they repeated the situation and said they were calling Sullivan's. I called Sullivan's today, no call came in, would've been documented) . Wat if I ran out? I could get sepsis

Excellant Dermatologist
My husband and I both see Dr. Jan. She is such a wonderful kind doctor. She caught a pre- melanoma on my nose that a previous Dermatologist said was nothing. The examination every year is literally from head to toe! I highly recommend

Save yourself the money and time and go to another dermatologist. I visited Dr Jan for a folliculitis (pubic hair and armpits). She saw the affected areas and gave me over the counter cream and wash. The problem got worse and i followed up with her about it. All she had to say is that there's nothing she can do and that folliculitis never goes away or always comes back and it may never be treated!!!!! I was devastated !! I tried to ask more questions about my condition but she seemed annoyed by that. I couldn't accept that i had to live the rest of my life using creams and being careful of what i consume to avoid flare ups (even my multivitamin starting causing me flare ups) i visited another Dermatologist. He perscribed me 3 WEEKS OF ANTIBIOTICS DUE TO BACTERIAL INFECTION OF THE HAIR FOLLICULES. Today i am free of burning, pain and folliculitis and back to my normal life because i did not give up and went to another derm. I would advise you to not trust Dr Jan with your health!!!

Dr. Jan has been my dermatologist for many years. She is the best medical professional that I have ever dealt with. Smart, no-nonsense, but a good sense of humor.

She was rude did not listen to me at all. She is by far the worst dermatologist I have ever met and I have been going to see dermatologists for years. She also misquoted me several times in her medical notes making me wonder if she is even a trustworthy dr.
