Dr. Bhora is a gifted surgeon; he did two lobectomies for me, one in 2019, the other in 2021. Now, in 2024, I am facing a non-surgical treatment decision and I realized that I wanted Dr. Bhora’s opinion. With few expectations, I called Dr. Bhora’s office and was happy to receive a timely appointment for a second opinion. Dr. Bhora knows lungs; he has incredible knowledge, experience, instincts I trust, and skill at reading scans. He agrees with the recommended treatment but tied it to a thorough explanation of why, in terms of the state of my lungs. It was an upbeat and positive meeting that will help me be positive as I continue treatment. I just wish surgery were an option.

Great Doctor
I was diagnosed with lung cancer March 2023 and was referred to Dr. Bhora. Well I never had the honor before of meeting such a dedicated, caring and sensitive Dr. I had tumors in both my lungs and Dr. Bhora performed both surgeries to remove 3 tumors on my lungs. He was successfully able to remove the cancerous tumors. Dr. Bhora is always available to talk or be seen by him. I am so blessed to have him as my Dr. and would highly recommend him.

I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Dr. Bhora was extremely kind, took his time explaining what the steps were, what to expect during recovery. His support staff was also tremendous. No detail was left unturned. While in the hospital, the staff was fantastic. I would recommend Dr. Bhora to anyone. By the way...Dr. Bhora got all of the cancer and I am back to playing golf.

Dr Bhora performed surgery on me for a collapsed right lung. Four months have gone by and I haven’t had any shortness of breath. What most impressed me was Dr Bhora’s commitment to his patients. It was shown when he would come in to check on his patients in the hospital after 8pm. You can’t ask for a Doctor to give you anymore than what Dr Bhora gives you as a Physician. It’s like he’s by your side all the time. His office staff is both friendly, but more important, competent. The staff makes you feel that you’re in good hands. The whole facility is a reflection of its head.

I underwent robotic surgery by Dr. Bhora at Danbury Hospital to remove a single lung nodule that was cancerous. In all respects, the care he provided was excellent. He was accessible, explained everything clearly, we chose a course of action and the results were excellent - recover faster than expected. His staff, particularly his physician's assistant, Mariya, were also excellent. I could have gone to Memorial Sloan Kettering, but decided to stay local specifically because Dr. Bhora checked out so well. We're lucky to have him local. I'm so grateful to him - he helped save my life.

I’ve been lucky to be in Dr. Bhora’s capable hands! I had been experiencing years of breathlessness, and during my first visit he quickly gave me a (surprising) diagnosis of “subglottic stenosis”—a narrowing of the trachea just below the vocal cords. Happily, Dr. Bhora is a world class trachea surgeon who is a pioneer in this field. After two “balloon” and cryotherapy procedures that enlarged my airway, I can breathe normally again! Dr. Bhora has been skillful, kind, and professional. I look forward to working with him in the future as we manage my condition together.

It’s taken me months to write since my mom passed in November. I promised my mom I would let others know about Dr. Bhora . At first he seemed fine and compassionate, but after a few weeks that changed. He was transitioning to this area and we always felt rushed with him and no compassion. The worst is he ripped the tube out of my mothers side with no preparation, medication or compassion. My mom screamed so badly it shocked the nurse. She told me that it was the worst experience of her life and please never allow him back into her room. He cares more about his appearance vs the care of the patient.

I'm 73 and Dr. Bhora recently removed a cancer cell from my lungs. It was the first time I met him and I am thrilled I decided on him. We are very fortunate to have him in the Danbury Ct area. I have read all the other reviews and while I would be saying the same exact things please multiply all the positive remarks by 10. I have yet to see if the surgery did indeed improve my golf game. Thanks Dr. Bhora ..and a great big thank you to Shahreen Hussain for always just being a phone call away.

Dr Bhora is the absolute best! We are so lucky to have such a highly skilled phyisician in our area. He is knowledgeable, kind and very empathetic toward his patient. He reassured me and supported me through a very upsetting situation. I knew I was in the right hands when I first met Dr Bhora. I highly recommend Dr Bhora.

I have extreme confidence in Dr. Bhora as a surgeon. He is very humane, professional, and kind. Even though the trip down here from the city is a long one, it's very much worth it. I've had a lot of doctors, and he is definitely the best doctor that I have ever had.

Dr. Bhora is a very compassionate doctor and treated my son who has special needs as a peer with the highest respect and patience. He was very thorough and comforting before, during, and after the surgery. Dr. Bhora gave us his full time and attention, which we really appreciated. I may not give Dr. Bhora Christmas and birthday presents, but I really do love him! God sent him to us from Mount Sinai. When it comes to carefully listening and fully answering medical questions, I would give Dr. Bhora 20 stars - not just 5 stars! Thank you!

Dr. Bhora holds a very dear place in my heart because he saved my life. I was told that I had less than a year to live and that I was inoperable. When I met Dr. Bhora, I was very emotional and scared to death. I had nodules on both sides of my lungs that started to grow and were cancerous. He said that he would tell me our plan after carefully studying my case. Soon enough, Dr. Bhora operated on the so-called inoperable woman, and I am forever thankful. I feel amazing and full of life. He was very caring, warm and treated me with the greatest dignity and utmost respect. I gave support and reassurance to some of his other anxious patients too. I told them that everything will be ok and that they will be in the best hands. Every day, I feel that Dr. Bhora is a gift from God. I pray for him and the colleagues that he teaches. I really believe that he is a blessed man. Thank you so much. - Sincerely, Annmarie F. Giunta

I was referred to Dr. Bhora after seeing Dr. Yousuf. I have never had surgery before, so I naturally felt terrified at first. Dr. Bhora gave me reassurance and encouragement leading up to my surgery. I am very grateful for the first-class care from Dr. Bhora and his care team at the hospital. In addition to Dr. Bhora's skill and expertise, he is a very kind and caring human being. I have complete faith and trust in him, and I cannot thank him enough.

Very rude doctor with an even ruder nurse practitioner during my mother's appointment for biopsy results she left thinking she didn't have cancer again when she does but he didn't explain his findings in detail to a 76 year old patient not to mention we waited a very long time in the waiting room for him to spend two minutes with my mother ...shame on him and his RUDE NASTY nurse practitioner t

Dr. Bhora operated on me in July 2017. He treated a Carcinoid Tumor of my right lung by removing the middle lobe of my right lung. He performed Robotic Surgery on me. I was out of the hospital on post op day 3 and I returned to work in 3 weeks! I will recommend him to all people who need a surgeon. He is very pleasant and caring. His staff is also wonderful.

I was diagnosed with a 7cm mass in my left lung with no signs of spreading. Dr. Bhora was recommended to perform a lobectomy and he and his entire staff could not have been more amazing. Every doctor we saw ahead of the procedure said that we were so lucky to have Dr. Bhora. He operated using the Da Vinci System robot which is minimally invasive. I was up and walking in less than 24 hours and left the hospital in a little over 48 hours and needed only over-the-counter pain medication once home.
