I suffer from atherosclerosis & have had multiple surgeries by Dr Berens.
Dr. Berens is amazing--kind, compassionate--also a great sense of humor. Absolutely THE VERY BEST vascular surgeon in Tucson & probably Arizona. Don't go anywhere else--even the Mayo Clinic where I went for a second opinion on my carotid--I was told to just monitor it. Well I ended up passing out in my kitchen & going to St Joseph's for surgery with Dr. Berens.

My husband was in St. Joseph's hospital for over 3 weeks. In Dr. Beren's absence, both his partners, Dr. McKeever and Dr. Compton, have continued with excellence of care. I emphasize that there has been no gaps in his care and no stone unturned. The communication amongst them is incredible. This office is truly 24/7 with medical care.

Dr Berens is the best vascular surgeon in Tucson. Over the years I have dealt with many vascular surgeons and have had numerous procedures and Dr Berens is at the head of the class. Extremely thorough and excellent surgeon. I would highly recommend Dr Berens for anyone that needs a vascular surgeon.

I HAVE BEEN SEEING DR BEREN SINCE JUNE 2011.HE HAS PERFORMED 2 SURGERYS ON ME.ONE FOR THE CAROTID ARTERY AND ONE FOR AN ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM.
BOTH COMPLETELY SUCCESSFUL.I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND DR BERENS TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS A GREAT VASCULAR SURGEON.A GREAT STAFF FOR FOLLOW UP EXAMS.
