I am now pain free
I moved here a few years ago from SC. my rheumatologist recommended Dr Simpson. I made appointment. She saw me right away. We tried some medications until we found the right ones to help me be pain free. I’m no longer dealing with stiff joints. I can walk like a human being. My hands don’t hurt. I feel like a new person. Her bedside manners are awesome. She listened to me. Took her time with me. I’ll be really sad if I EVER have to stop seeing because of insurance reasons

Dr. Simpson is very thorough in her exams and takes extra time to explain and answer questions. She doesn’t push a ton of medications on you and gives you information to take home about any diagnoses.

She automatically assumes everyone is a drug addict and wants drugs, no matter what you say! She is rushed and says the same thing on every visit. If you have a PCP, she does not appear to like that fact.

Dr. Simpson stated she did not know what was wrong with me and stated she would treat me as though I had fibromyalgia. My blood work showed extreme inflammation, x-rays show degeneration with spine curvature, and finger joints have large nodules protruding. Told me to get massages. Massages for a person whom you say "I'll treat you like you have fibromyalgia."? Touching the skin hurts! Refused to listen to me. The office staff ate extremely RUDE as well, in person and over the phone. I cannot stress enough how RUDE they are.

I did not have a great experience with her. She only spent about 15mins with me on my very first visit, she didn't seem to listen and I was rushed on out the door. She was very quick to say I had fibromyalgia despite symptoms and bloodwork results that indicated I had an autoimmune disease of some sort. The experience I had with her was emotionally traumatizing because she was so dismissive of my concerns. I'm very glad I sought a second opinion at another office.

I have gone to Dr. Simpson for several years and have found her to be a very caring, intelligent, and skilled Rheumatologist. I retired from over 25 years as a Respiratory Therapist in Indiana, working in and out of Intensive Care, so I feel qualified at rating Dr. Simpson as one of the Top Doctors that I see in Tennessee.
