Dr. Butler changed my life! Happy Retirement!
After I had some failed treatments and surgeries at other facilities, Dr. Butler kept trying biologics until we found the right one. I was able to get a bike for my 40th bday! She recently retired, and I miss her after being her patient for 20 years. She was knowledgeable, up-to-date on RA meds and side effects, not afraid to try new things if the old things weren't working, and always a good listener. Took plenty of time with each patient, and the wait was never too long. Happy retirement, Dr. Butler!

At least half of my appointments with Dr. Butler were unnecessary. The nurse that I would speak to any time I had a question was exceedingly rude and not helpful. I could not get even the simplest question answered by phone. Nurse insisted I come into office any time I had a question. Dr. Butler was confused and incorrect concerning the medications she had prescribed. All in all not a good experience.

Dismissive
A doctor in her practice referred me with concern I had schleroderma. I was dismissed. I was formally diagnosed with CREST Syndrome today by one of a reputable doctor in Atlanta. I have had a chronic cough for over 2 years. It is finally going to be treated properly.

I was treated like a dog
I’ve been a patient of Dr Butler’s for several years. Her bedside manner has always been lacking, but the way I was treated at my last appointment was so horrific I had to warn others. I had severely acute RA flare ups to the point I could barely walk. An x-ray tech saw that I couldn’t stand so provided a wheelchair. Humbly I had to accept. When Dr Butler’s nurse entered the patient room she aggressively scolded me for missing my last appointment. I pleaded with her to stop and she towered over me putting her hand in my face, called me rude and said she wouldn’t “deal with me”. I broke down in tears and couldn’t stop crying. The physical pain & humiliation was more than I could bare. Dr Butler entered the room and despite my physical and emotional condition, started scolding me like an animal. I apologized and I begged her to stop so we could proceed with the visit. This went on for 10 minutes. I was sobbing and yet she continued scolding me. I’ve never been so humiliated in my life.

It was a year ago that I went to see Dr. Bulter with a serious problem related to my RA and she was very dismissive and told me to just go see a neurologist. I did see a neurologist and he said my problem was related to RA. Since Dr. Bulter was not interested I found another doctor who was worst and I wasted over 2 months with her before I found a doctor who could help me. I am very disappointed that after being Dr Bulter’s patient for years I would end up disabled due to her lack of interest

Dr Butler has been my Rheumatologist for the past six years. She has gone above and beyond to ensure my needs are taken care of and she explains everything so that I understand. She is willing to work closely with other doctors addressing additional issues arising from the auto immune disorder. I love her compassion and would be devastated to lose her.
