Dr. Elise Abicht, MD

My well woman visit was great with Dr. Elise Abicht! Dr. Abicht answered all my questions, took the time to discuss woman issues. She takes her time and listens to you. very respectful and kind. Women rock!

Dr. Abicht has been my first choice of provider for two years now! I took a leap of faith with my last pregnancy and made a switch to her and I won’t see anyone else now for my lady stuff! When she moved to a new network so did I! I trust her knowledge and love how she acknowledges you as an individual person instead of just another patient on the schedule. If you’re not her patient I feel sorry for you!

Yesterday I met with Dr. Abicht for the first time. My urologist wanted me to be seen for a specific issue and he recommended the practice. From my first contact with the receptionist through to my final in person contact, it was a wonderful experience and great relief. I moved here from NYC where I had wonderful medical providers. Finding a new team has been challenging but I’m thrilled to have Dr.Abicht and her group on board. Not only was the front desk lovely, helpful and courteous but Dr. Abicht terrific. She was empathetic, knowledgeable and reassuring. We had a long discussion during which I felt heard and supported. I would highly recommend her and her group.

Went to Dr. Abicht for a well women exam and having been recently diagnosed with a gynecological syndrome was hoping to get some help. When I brought it up, I was stopped and told I would be charged separately to discuss it. FOR SOMETHING THAT I JUST NEEDED HELP MANAGING RELATED TO BEING A WELL WOMAN AND MY GYNECOLOGICAL HEALTH. Not only is that absolutely stupid, but she was condescending and completely unhelpful. Also, I need my yearly prescriptions filled and that was like an act of Congress to get my birth control refilled - had schedule a separate appointment with my PCP after she refused to refill the prescriptions related to the syndrome. I would NEVER recommend her to ANYONE. Worst experience ever and hope no woman has to experience her lack of bedside manner and empathy and complete inability to help. I will never go back to her or the University of Kansas Health System. She has smeared their reputation for me.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Abicht. She has always treated me with kindness and compassion. She listens to me, explains things thoroughly, and has always handled my medical issues with the appropriate level of care. I couldn't be happier with the care I have received from Dr. Abicht.

I'm a first-time mom, and I thought Dr. Abicht was wonderful. She was always extremely patient with me, despite my thousands of questions. I was quite overweight when first got pregnant, but she always treated me with kindness and respect. I wish she could be my PCP!

Went in for my first prenatal appointment with Dr. Abicht and was extremely unsatisfied with my care. She talked to me as though I was a child who didn't understand anything about pregnancy despite knowing that I have a toddler. She didn't ask me about my diet or exercise regimen but apparently assumed it was lacking, as she lectured me about both. She did not ask me about my symptoms or whether or not I had any concerns. She acted like I was crazy for wanting a sonogram to confirm viability.
