Great doctor for seniors
Dr. Pozarny is a caring doctor, who is concerned with patients’ out of pocket cost. He does speak loudly and explains things, sometimes several times. He’s definitely someone I would take my grandmother to see. There are times when you hear about someone’s podiatry problems from the waiting room. He is old school—while some podiatrists are using computer scans to produce orthotics, he did a paper mache-like mold old of my foot. While some doctors are using lasers to cure nail fungus, he used a Dremel to remove the top layers of my thickened toenail, so an over the counter topical treatment could better absorb—a much less expensive treatment. He recommended applying a homemade bleach and water solution to help the fungus not return. His office staff is equally kind and patient. He also makes house calls for seniors. We will see if these solutions work for me, but he seems like an experienced doctor who is there for the right reasons.

I came here for an ingrown toenail in early 2019. I had the same issue on the other foot years before so I knew what the issue was and what the procedure would be like. Weeks after the procedure I woke up with throbbing pain in my toe and it was red and swollen. This happened twice before I got a follow up appointment. Dr. Pozarny looked at it, said I must have walked around too much on it, and he cleared me to go. Flash forward to another check up and I tell him I’m concerned that my nail is turning a weird shade of yellow. He says this is due to the betadine I’ve been using on bandages and that I’m fine. Frustrated and by that point confident I have an infection, I sought a second opinion. Turns out I had a fungal infection that had been festering for months. I do not know if I picked it up at Dr. Pozarny’s office (unlikely) but what I do know is that he looked at my toe on multiple visits and said it was fine, ignoring my concerns. Find another podiatrist.

Dr Pozarny has the best medical practice around. I am 73 years old and have lived in 3 different parts of our country. I wish he could have been in the other two cities in which I lived. He and MinJi and Erica are professional, highly competent and have all the compassion and kindness and understanding anyone could ask for in a medical practice.

Like another reviewer, this was the worst doctor experience I have ever had. I will spare you the bizarre details and simply offer my advice. Run, don’t walk away from this practice.

This is the worse experience I have ever had with a doctor. I felt I was at some kind of bad circus. When I arrived at the office he was talking really loud about the mental illness a patient in the examination room suffered. I went to the examination room. He kept me there for a while repeating things over and over, and suggesting treatments that were not necessary (which I learned later from a second podiatrist I visited). Also, I was misinformed by his staff about my insurance coverage.
